How would the parents of kids react if Mr. Rodgers turns out was a pedophile, or Miley Cyrus a crack whore satan worshipper?

In certain cases yes but, when you are the spokeman for a generations, a household name for all that is good, that image gets tarnished when your personal life comes out. Like you of all people should practice what you preach.
How would the parents of kids react if Mr. Rodgers turns out was a pedophile, or Miley Cyrus a crack whore satan worshipper? Yeah I def see where you are coming from and I think I havent seen enough of what hes done outside the ring. I think once I read more about it I may get exactly what your feeling. |

In a nutshell, he was the Dudley Do Right of the 80's, we all looked up to him. He tought the values of acting right, take care of yourself, others, do good in school etc. Finding out what kind of person he really is kinda negates all of that and tarnishes the admiration I once had for him. I will still give it to him, he is the biggest name in wrestling, EVER. That does not mean he was the greatest wrestler ever, just the best entertainer. The enstilled morals and I know my other comparisons may have been a bit extreme but, they are figure heads of their own generation.

Not withstanding what has been in the news the last few years, just read some books written by other wrestlers about him and about how shrewd he is when it comes to business, never wanting to put anyone over, always having to have creative control, massive ego, constantly keeping the younger talent down, just a straight up asshole in every other aspect. Most of this came from Flairs book, that's why it almost brought me to tears seein Ric kiss his ass in TNA, it was all about the money and if he wanted a job while Hogan was there, he will do what ever the fuck was asked of him.

The only other comparison I can think of is John Cena. Whether we like him or not he is (and has been) HUGE. Kids, women, parents, uneducated wrestling fans ![]()

I can no longer be a member of the Cenation!
The picture of a squeaky clean John Cena I had in my head has forever been tarnished. "U Can't See Me..." No sir, after that, I won't see you.

I have always had such a hard time with Cena. I mean I do not dislike him. He puts on a good show. But I do see why people would dislike him :/ I do however hate his five moves of doom.

Magnus's Cena post made me like him more.
I also liked it when he urinated on the Taker's parent's grave. Cena was most likely upset at Taker for defeating Hogan.

That will make me sad.
I'd rather see Austin/ Hogan at Mania.

"Let me get something straight...I will never wrestle for the WWE again. But there is some big news coming up in the world of dance..." There was no context to the tweet, as it wasn't clear if Jericho was sarcastically addressing a rumor on his WWE future or making an announcement he won't be returning to WWE. ![]() Maybe Cara/Rey?

They've been brewing a Jericho/ Punk fued via twitter for some time.
I've already seen Orton/ Hogan at Summer Slam a few years back. Austin/ Hogan would be the money match IMO. HHH could bury Taker via a burried alive match.

Hogan doesn't matter much to me, even as a child I was pretty much immune to his bullshit say your prayers and take your vitamins mentality. When all that stuff came out about him, I wasn't really that surprised. Hogan is a good entertainer, but I hate the idea that he's the most popular wrestler in the world. He probably is the most recognized, but if he was as great as everyone says he is, He would be running the WWE instead of crawling back to it after his run in TNA. Also, There's no way Taker will get beat at Wrestlmania. They'll let him retire with the streak intact, because as Triple H said before this past Mania, it's what keeps Undertaker going. The streak is the reason he's there. After he goes 20 and 0 against whoever it is they bring in for him to beat down, he'll finally retire. I mean the man's been on the verge of retirement for the past 5 years. He's done all there is to do in the business, and he's already proven he doesn't need to wrestle to stay on his feet. He's made enough money in the time that he's been there to live comfortably for the rest of his life. Taker won't get beat at WM. Taker is WM. Now I'd love to see Austin vs Punk at Wrestlemania as well. That would be a hell of a match, but I don't know if Austin would do it, he's got really bad knees. Truthfully wrestling hasn't been the same since Austin left...before the time of Cena, Austin was the face of the WWE. For the longest time he was a household name, and yes, he even overshadowed Hulk Hogan for awhile. So to see one controversial icon vs the original controversial icon, that would be epic.

Austin has been teasing a return to the ring for some time.
