Hey gang,
I'm a huge mark for professional wrestling, and I hope you are too. I've loved it ever since I was a little kid and I wandered away from my Saturday morning cartoons only to find my big brother watching "Challenge" in my parents room. The Killer Bees were going over a pair of pizza makers at the time. Lets talk about wrestling here, but not just about WWE. Lets talk about everything.

what would you like to talk about? how modern wrestling sucks in comparison to old school Wrestling from the mid 80s to late 90s-early 2000s?
My top 3 all time favorites are Bret Hart, Mr Perfect, & the Macho Man Randy Savage |

It certainly felt like it had the potential to get better back when Punk started his most recent face run, but HHH went and fucked it up by going over Punk at Night of Champions. TNA has the potential to get better now that Russo is no longer head writer. I'm not super familiar with Pritchards work outside of the Heavenly Bodies, but I doubt he will over book every angle and constantly convolve story lines for that surprise factor that ceases to be surprising the more it happens. Macho is my all time favorite. I remember when he debuted on Challenge without Elisabeth. I was all like; who's this guy? He's going to be my favorite.

I think that era had the most viewership of any ,and was truly a magical time for the business. The last "great" match IMO was the Rock vs Hogan at Mania.

I'm a little confused by the opening segment of Monday's Raw.
If HHH's promo is to be believed, then all of Raw's Superstars except Punk and Cena are heels for walking out on the WWE Universe?

Good question?
Maybe I clicked on the wrong forum banner when I started the thread. If you were a mod you could move it for me. Do you like wrestling?

I am a huge wrestling fan and I just recently branched out from WWE and started watching TNA (which comes on tonight) also I don't think all who walked out are heels becouse they didnt blame HHH just felt if he stayed the problems would continue. I just wonder whats gunna happen now. HHH is no longer COO yet the same unfair post match beatdowns are still going on so what has really gotten better?

Why yes I do actually, RAW was ok this week, though I wouldn't get to used to seeing Johnny Ace as GM for too long. He is basically allowing the same thing that the roster accused HHH of doing. Firing JR was just yet another way of the WWE taking a piss all over that guy, especially letting Laryngitis doing the firing considering their past. |

I hope they don't bring Foley back as GM, been there, done that.
It'd be great if Vince was revealed as being behind HHH's firring so that he could control Raw through Laurinitis, the new stooge. After Vince is revealed as the puppet master the Raw Superstars could be confident in HHH again and he could go back on top. Maybe HBK could expose Vince and along with HHH and Nash the new Kliq could run Raw. I believe this storyline will resolve itself at Survivor Series with a Rock/ Cena/ Punk/ HHH superteam battling Miz/ Truth heel team for ultimate "control" over WWE. @ Fortune, I know they aren't all heels, but the way HHH cut his promo, saying that they all walked out on the Universe, put them over as heels IMO.

I am also surprised by the big show angle. I really expected Kane to return as the big red monster and take out Mark Henry. It would keep Mark looking unstoppable by anything short of inhuman but also build on Kanes monster persona. Possibly having his human and monster side fighting for control. |

Holy $hit, I dont care for wrestling at all but you have the best damn luck on this entire forum! You always score good $hit on toy hunts, find awesome stuff like BAF Giant Man for cheap, win tickets to wrestling and also that UFC Expo/Event. You should start packaging up that lucky pill you've been taking.

I have heard some people complain going to live show ruins wrestling for them. I just cannot believe it. But I have never been so I cant say.

The only thing that was a little strange at first was not hearing the commentary and the urge to watch the huge screens around the top of the ring and the entrance way lol. The first show I can remember I saw Andre, Hulk, Jake the Snake and Ultimate Warrior...damn I feel old.

Like I said, the distractions of being there live kinda take your full focus off every move in the match, at least in the big shows, so if they did botch any, I didn't catch it until watching the recording back. Now the last 2 indie show I went to, I was in the front row, you can't help but see every step taken lol. |
