Email them first and see if the offer still stands?

Emailed and asked about Archangel (and von Doom):

Dear David,
Thank you for contacting Marvel Entertainment Inc.'s Online Support services. We do still have Archangel figures, however the other figure is not available.
The Hasbro Archangel action figure is available only with the purchase of a new annual Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited (MDCU) subscription. To sign up, please follow these steps:
1.) Go to Digital Comics | Comics | Marvel.com . You MUST sign up on this page (and not the regular checkout page) in order to be eligible to receive the figure.
2.) Once you have signed up, you will be sent a confirmation number via e-mail. Be sure to download the PDF redemption form on the checkout page and fill out every item on the form.
3.)Mail the completed redemption form and check or money order for shipping and handling ($5.17 for orders delivered in the United States, $6.86 for orders delivered in Canada) to the following address:
Figure Redemption, Inc.
MARVEL Figure Offer
PO Box 11449
Bozeman, MT 59719-1449
Please allow 8-10 weeks after the check or money is received for delivery of the figure. {nbsp; If you have any additional questions, please contact mailto:marveldigital@sunbeltfs.com
Best regards,
Wendy Herrington

I did it through Marvel.com. He's so worth it! And yes I'm so glad I didn't buy it on ebay.

I've been tracking eBay for the past couple months, kicking myself for laughing at the figure and it's $60 price tag when it was offered to me without having to even wait in line at SDCC this year.

It's not that I LOVE it or anything, but I'm trying to complete the X-Men of the MU figures, and obviously this fits that bill.

What's the best method of getting my hands on one? I know there's still the mail-away program on marvel.com for around $60 and three months of time, and you can pay around $90-120 for one on eBay. I've also heard that it'll be offered at NYCC, so I'm thinking about having my NYC buddy who's going get me one there and ship it back. (I'm assuming the $60 is still there, since it's a benefit of starting a membership).

What do you professional collectors recommend? What methods did you take to get this one?
Man you have three options there you mentioned yourself, that's more than most of us have. If your friend can't get you one at NYCC then order the digital comic subscription and wait. You're a big boy make up your mind. Kind of blows my mind that you had a chance to snag one and let it go. Now you're making threads that do little more than testify to your inability to make up your mind.

It's not that I was indecisive at the time, it was that I didn't collect MU at the time.

I did end up having my buddy pick me up one at NYCC. Of course, right after he did, the news about the Doom came out, lol. I could have had him get that one there and done the Archangel online!

Ah well, I have pictures of my Archangel and Compound Hulk coming to me through the mail. Friends all over the country is a great thing!

I paid over 100 for comic con figures before, but the way I see it, it's still a discount. I'm in NM, so paying for a ticket to either San Diego or New York, THEN getting a hotel for the night, food and stuff then going to the convention the next day....all that to stand in line to get that figure. At the end of the day, 100bucks seems like small change when you add up all those trip expenses...

Very true, but then you don't get to go on the trips either!

Forgot to mention it, but I recieved an email from Wendy Harrington as well with the pdf order form for Archangel (which I promptly mailed out) about a week ago.

So if anyone needs a copy of the "order form" I can email the PDF copy to you if you need one.
