So what's the deal with this one?
I've been tracking eBay for the past couple months, kicking myself for laughing at the figure and it's $60 price tag when it was offered to me without having to even wait in line at SDCC this year. It's not that I LOVE it or anything, but I'm trying to complete the X-Men of the MU figures, and obviously this fits that bill. What's the best method of getting my hands on one? I know there's still the mail-away program on marvel.com for around $60 and three months of time, and you can pay around $90-120 for one on eBay. I've also heard that it'll be offered at NYCC, so I'm thinking about having my NYC buddy who's going get me one there and ship it back. (I'm assuming the $60 is still there, since it's a benefit of starting a membership). What do you professional collectors recommend? What methods did you take to get this one? |

Don't know if this needed a thread of it's own, but, the figure is over rated. I am still thinking of just making mine, as a lot of customiz0rz do.

I'm not a maker though. I've never painted anything smaller than myself in my entire life. (Walls, rooms, and cars I've painted).

I can get comics for free, therefore I should get paid to take this figure. I think this is a brilliant idea. =3

Can I just send him the money and not give a crap what he fills in wherever, or do I need to give him all my information for signup? Maybe I could give him the year of digital comics free as a tip instead of giving him cash... |

How much did you have to do to get it? I'm trying to figure out if I want to put my friend from 10 years ago through the mess.

@Tiberius
^That actually makes you a thief (assuming you steal them on-line). The marvel subscription is awesome if you want to read up on a ton of backstories. The thing paid for itself the first day I got it and read about 60 comics( 60 x $2= $120 versus buying old trades or collecting old issues) Even if you aren't into the older stuff, it stays fairly up to date with all the big stuff thats happened in the last few years. I'd say it's totally worth it. |

I would buy some comics, like I,Vampire. But my town/village/city/piece of shit bum town doesn't have a comic shop that carries new comics. They have a 3-4 for 1$ bin, which takes up half the store, which is complete crap. Closest comic book store is 40 minutes away.
