Just got back from watching X-Men First Class. A few things I'd like to say:

1. This is the first X-Men movie that truly explores the concept of the X-Men as a team (as opposed to focusing mainly on Wolverine)

2. Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw = AWESOME

3. Michael Fassbender completely owns the movie as Magneto

For the record:

X-Men was a great movie. X2 was even better. X-Men 3: The Last Stand was horrid. XMO: Wolverine was a disaster. X-Men: First Class is, in my opinion, THE BEST X-MEN MOVIE. Do yourself a favor and go see it.

That is all.

It rocked overall.

Only one continuity guffaw really too, maybe three. All of which can easily be reworked story-centricly as the periods come up that need them for said scene.

For spoiler reasons, I'll only speak of one.
Beast transforming to his furred self. Epic scene, but it leaves a hole in his X2 appearance, but also a hole that can be filled story-centricly.

The other two have to do with Chuck, as well as chuck and magneto's friendship. Which I can't really say my thoughts on without being major spoilers.

Solid movie and best xmen so far IMO. Great performances by two terrific actors as both leads. I was looking forward to them playing magneto and professor x as I loved their respective performances in inglorious basterds and wanted. Story was at points overly cheesy and some unnecessary characters I feel were introduced. I felt as though that the first half was a lot better than the second half of the movie. For my ratings I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5.
