Damn, I really like these figures. Great job! I can tell that is Grand Moff Tarkin's head, but it is a great fit!

I think the creepiest thing about it is, he looks just like my deceased grandfather...If it starts talking to you tell me what it says, and if it mentions cheating at cards, tell him I'm not the guy he's thinking of.

In all seriousness though, it does look like him it's freakin' me out. Other than that it bears a good likeness. Just wish those star wars bodies had more articulation. Last edited by yourfacehere; 02-24-2012 at 12:03 AM.. |

LOL. thanks guys! Yeh I thought the Tarkin head was the closest thing to McKellan I could find. I had to sculp him grandma hair though.

I probably could have found more articulated parts to use fr his arms etc. like a ROC destro. but i am on a budget so i just have to do the best with what ive got really. i dont mind paying for the heads. i bought that tarkin head especially. but buying every perfect part is too costly. i already had the old tarkin and thought his uniform resembled magneto enough so i sacrificed the articulation like i had to do with Juggernaut. hopefully my other x-men customs will have more articulation but as they are only going to stand on the shelf. it doesnt matter all that much to me.

			Flippin' fantastic!

It's aminor thing, but I think my favorite part of the build is the subtle difference between the black on the gloves and the uniform- it really sells it as seperate articles of clothes. Now I gotta get the new Tarkin for a custom- your general recipe can work great for a Mentor...or a Collector (both marvel cosmic guys). |
