No. I asked for clarification. Nothing major. Just a 'No, I was wrong, it should have been this' would have been acceptable. I did not want to but heads with Shin over this. But he went and blew me off with a 'Big Deal' post. And then later when I explained I was a NEWBI and saved images by the names and not the aircraft VF designations he made it out that I was in the wrong for not knowing what he meant. If he wants to get into his comments about the various aircraft and reuse of names and such, that is fine. As an History major in college and spending most of my life around aircrafts, I do know the history of most aircraft and how they were named and why certain names were reused. It WAS the reason I used the names and not aircraft identifiers.
I am sorry that you think i got too worked up. I just hate being bullied and blown off by Mods or Sr Members of boards when asking for clarity and help. I have helped to run other boards and NEVER would I have treated someone so harshly and disrespectfully on the open boards. I would have kept my tone civil and if the problem presisted I would have asked another to take it to PMs to see if something could be handled that way. In fact, if we want to get down right absolutely specifics, firmpulse is incorrect as well. Quote:

So everybody is wrong. But to help you in future references, I'd suggest this site for you Macross questions in case there are differing opinions: Macross Mecha Manual - A fansite for mechanical designs of the anime franchise Macross Care to add anything useful? If you're going to call someone on being wrong, at least be right yourself first.

Razerwire.... Thank you! Right there is what I needed. It was not hard, and you did all that I needed to begin with.
You stepped in and fixed it all. TY! |

yeah. i like the YF-21 better than the V(thanks razerwire)F-22 because i love the fact that the gunpods mount on the belly plates in fighter mode. i've heard some folks have a problem with their gun pods not locking securely but mine are rock solid |

Hate to break it to you but categorizing Macross by a fighter's name and not the numerical designation is destined to be confusing.
In fact, if we want to get down right absolutely specifics, firmpulse is incorrect as well. The Sturmvogel II figure is actually designated VF-22. Not YF. The Sturmvogel II is the updated version of the YF-21 prototype. There actually is no YF-22 at all. So everybody is wrong. i wonder....will the 21 come with new stand adapters? since it isn't being released with the old peg stand the original adapters are kinda useless (unless someone happens to have a peg stand lying around). yamato is re-releasing the launch arms so new adapters that fit launch arm stands would be a must imo.
EDIT: nevermind. i just noticed the original adapters have a peg for the launch arms as well as a slot for the peg stand Last edited by firmpulse; 04-02-2010 at 08:24 AM.. |
