I've read in some cases that major collectors love their items/collection so much that they asked for it to be burried with them, either by making a huge coffin, or taking some of their prized possession and having them displayed along side the body or through a display case inside. Personally when I die I hope my family/future children take over the collection and continue it, but if not I'd want it either sold to a fellow collector(s) and the procceeds used to help support my family then fine, but I know if my collection ended up at a yardsale going for peanuts I'd haunt the shit out of anybody who bought it.

My son says he wants it. But he's 6, so I take that with a grain of salt. I won't be having it buried with me though.

Naw, not me, it goes to family, but it has to stay in the family. If it doesn't I may as well burn them all with me.

Eh... if I get cremated and have one of those little display cases I may want one or two in there, but otherwise I want them passed on and taken care of.

I'd like to have that option. But I don't think it'd be fair to saddle my kids with four full rooms of action figures if they don't really want to carry it on.

Everything is gonna be sealed within a Mausoleum with my corpse. If not that...I want everything to be burned and scattered to the four winds.

Depending on *how* I die dictates what happens to my collection. If I'm given warning, IE: "You've got fatal cancer, you've got a year left." In a case like that, I'm giving some things to my friends, and selling the rest to pay for however my body is disposed. (I honestly don't care what happens, so long as my body is completely and totally destroyed. I actually would request to be fed to sharks if that were a legal option.) If my death happens suddenly, I have no clue what'll happen to my collection. But since I refuse to be buried (Pointless and a waist of space and money), it ain't gonna come with me.

Eigh, no one is going to appreciate my collection as much as I do. Have you seen people trying to sell their whole lot? It usually doesn't go all that well, sadly. Sounds like they're throwing them away when we die, fellas. |

I've just thought of it. To tack on to what I said earlier about burning the whole collection. Instead of scattering the ashes like I mentioned before, I want to be buried with all the ashes of my collection.

I thought this was a joke thread at first....i'd let my family deal with selling it and make some money off of it as long as it's not that much of a burden to them. My body will decompose anyway so whats the point of toys that are worth money also going to waste. At the least give them to my grandchildren, other children in family, friend's kids or donate them to a charity that gives away toys to kids like toys for tots.

You know Id never wanna be cremated but I could see someone getting cremated and having the urn put in a display case with their collection. After I go I guess it's up to my family what to do with it all. Id assume some of the other collocters in my family would split it up between them

I'm going to get a life-sized mannequin of classic WWF's Paul Bearer and get cremated and placed in a replica urn for which he'll clutch in his hands. I'm thinking motion detect sound fx box that says, "Oooooooooohhh yeeeeeeeeessssssssss......" when people walk by. Sorry what? Oh, my toys. I don't think so, no.

I would give some friends the pick of the litter and then have my surviving family sell or keep what's left to help pay for funeral costs. I don't feel the need to bring them with my no matter where I go; In the ground or on a mantle. So basically if you want some cool stuff when I die, you better start being nice to me. lol

My collection will go to my kids. It won't really matter to me what they do with it after I'm gone.

It would be nice to have them buried with me, pharaoh style, in a large chamber underground... But more than likely, my collection will be left to whatever relatives I have left to do with what they wish.
