Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed

A favorite from my childhood, it's still a great, fun watch. Sure, it could have been better, but I still really enjoy it. And it is remarkable how much better it is than its predecessor. Lots of nostalgia when I watch this movie, I can see myself re-watching it for years to come.

Wonder Woman 1984 was just as boring as the first film, and filled with dozens of empty and predictable emotional appeals. The story was cool, but the whole presentation fell flat.

Wonder Woman 1984. I really loved it. I thought it was much better than the first film, and had a lot of flavor. The villains were really good, and Steve was brought back in a good way.

Eh it was okay but they keep doin poor steve dirty. He shoulda stayed instead of dying again. Honestly it kinda felt like ff10 a bit how they did him kinda like titus. Dc should give up trying to do a shared universe thing or movies in general and focus on tv shows,

Yeah, last season's Benoit episode of Darkside of the ring got really heavy and downbeat....especially part 2. Kudos to the producers for trying to end that episode off on an upbeat tone...as much as they could considering the circumstances.

Darjeeling Limited. Very spiritual and well done. I cried. It changed my life.

The Pirates of the Carribbean trilogy.

1. Still great.
2. Disappointing follow-up, weakest of the trilogy, the love-triangle was not a good idea. But still has cool moments and isn't a bad movie.
3. Doesn't quite live up to 1, but it is very good. Really good. And a great ending to the trilogy.

I tried to watch 4, I used to really like it, but I suspect I was just lying to myself. I haven't been able to finish it, it's just so bad. And I dunno if I want to even bother with 5. From what I remember it's better than 4 but still not very good.

I’m sure Depp struggles now more than ever as he ages into an old bronzed mummy with how Keith Richards can do whatever he wants and be stumbledrunk and probably still getting ass in his advanced age and be effortlessly cool while he himself has to bust his ass playing quirky wackadoos in supposedly offbeat but really totally pedestrian mainstream garbage since the late 90s and is kinda just considered an egotistical old creep. My $.02, of course

But hey, if y’all enjoy lame, safe, mundane wankery that is formulaic and insults your intelligence, check out The Tomorrow War starring Chris Pratt and some blonde lady on some Hulu type service or something. AMC+, I believe.

It was amazon prime, actually. And if you add The Tomorrow War to your watchlist in spite of my warning, I respect you less as a person.

Added, just cause of that post haha.

I watched Black Widow. It was unexpectedly great. Florence Pugh was unexpectedly really likeable and funny, and will make a great replacement. Everything was really well done, except a certain cameo rumor turning out to be false. A great lesson in how to do female characters right.

You know... it has been so long since I have watched Endgame that I completely forgot Natasha died... the ending of Black Widow through me for a loop... I was like... why is she pretending to be dead... but then I remembered and actually felt sad. Also MCU Taskmaster was cool.

Oh wow... just learned that the kid that plays young Natasha in Black Widow is Milla Jovovich's daughter.

Snake Eyes

Overall, I would say that the movie is ok. The movie was at its best when it was grounded. However, it was at its worst when it became fantastical or focused on GI Joe and Cobra. Not that those elements are inherently bad, it's just that the fantastical elements felt out of place when compared to the rest of the movie. And the Joes vs Cobra stuff felt tacked on for the sake of world building.

Val 2021

Just seeing young Val Kilmer again through home movies is a trip... also his son's voice who narrates the whole thing is so soothing... also watching this reminds you that growing old sux.
