I'm not a fan of Game of Thrones, but I might get a Ghost figure. Would make a nice Krypto for my Reeve Superman.

Tyrion not only was at The Wall, he took a grand whizz off the top of it.

So the 6" Legacy figures had packaging strongly reminiscent of the 6" Star Wars Black Series boxes and now their 3.75" figures have packaging which strongly reminds me of the 2014 Black Series 3.75" TIE Pilot packaging designs.

I guess I'll probably get these since the 6" line is officially dead. I am super happy that it is Night's Watch wave.
No a fan of the card art at all. I was hoping for individual pics/cards.

Ghost could be a nice stand-in for Marvel's Snowbird, too.

As much as I enjoy GoT, I don't see myself picking up this line, but I am quite excited that Funko has decided to go in a new direction with their 3 3/4" figures.

Enough has already been said about the divisive ReAction line, so I won't comment any further on it, but I'm looking forward to seeing what Funko has planned for this new 9 PoA series.

There are so many other franchises that I'd love to see done in this style, and Supernatural is, by far, at the top of my personal wish-list.

I once read a post somewhere that Funko was going to do a similar Archer line. 9 POA and modern sculpts. I guess that was just an Internet rumor, but man I'd love that line. This does look nice, though.

I wonder if having the ReAction license gives them license to do these figures too? I'd love a new modern sculpt 3.75 DC line since Mattel has given up on the scale. There are so many amazing license in the ReAction line that would have greatly benefitted from a modern action figure line with 5-9 POA.

That is correct. Archer has been announced but no other info yet.

They cannot do any DC in this format. Mattel has the license for that. Funko can only do retro 3 3/4" Arrow and Flash and those did poorly so they won't be doing any more modern ReAction figures. Anything modern will be in this new format.

Well what a bunch of crap since Mattel isn't making 3.75 figures anymore.

That said I'd love a 3.75 Ash and Snake Plissken. And Predator if they can. And could they do Metal Gear figures in this line if they wanted?

I didn't think any American company had access to Metal Gear merchandise anymore, maybe now that Kojima doesn't work there Konami might be more open to dealing with an American company which would be nice since I'd really like for someone to do an affordable Pyramid Head.

Regarding the other figures I don't think Funko can do anything more than retro-style reaction line stuff since they don't have any likeness rights. Not having those rights doesn't matter for Pops and reaction figures since those bear little to no actual representation of any actor to begin with but to do figures like these GoT ones they'd need more than just the franchise license and not every franchise license includes likeness rights. They could maybe do a Predator like these GoT figures but then not a Snake Plissken unless they already somehow have Kurt Russell's likeness rights, I don't think they even have any Evil Dead license rights any more since they haven't even done any reaction figures for those.

Card art is a little bit messy, but those figures are fantastic! Just gonna get (you know nothing) Jon Snow, Ghost, and the Ice King for now. But if these ever go on clearance, I'm getting everything!

I thought I had heard that. It's crazy because at least 3 companies make 6 inch DC figures: Medicom (sp), DC Collectibles, and Mattel. I suspect its because Funko and Mattel are both in general American retail. Medicom and DC Collectibles are different beasts.

My thoughts as well. I might get Jon's lady and use the head for a Joe or Marvel custom.

Medicom can do the 6" DC stuff they do because they're foreign so all of their figures will run for import prices (or at least safely above Mattel's price-point) so they pose no direct threat or competition to Mattel's productions as they are considered in another bracket of goods by cost. This is true for pretty much all Asian companies making American licensed products (Marvel, DC, Star Wars, etc.).

DC Collectibles can do what they do because they are DC, a branch thereof devoted to making figures and statues, but still a part of DC. The only stuff typically off the table for DCC is what Warner Bros delegates to Mattel or is contractually assigned to Mattel (the movies for the most part). This is the most likely reason why DCC's upcoming movie figures for BvS and Suicide Squad are running import prices even though they come from a domestic company, so they don't directly compete with Mattel's 6" figures on price. Of course then DCC can do any and all of the comic based figures they want to because being a part of DC that's all already in their domain, apparently video games and TV stuff also falls in with that but can also be shared with Mattel.
