What a difference changing head sculpts can make. The Black Panther shares the same body type as the Punisher, only a new head sculpt, hands and boots have changed. I would love to know which of the two was designed first because the Panther looks way better.
Even with the same articulation, the new head, hands and all black suit help transform this figure into a buy. The body type fits the character and flows with the rest of the figures in the wave. The head sculpt is pretty simple in design but captures the essence of the Black Panther really well. I will give this Figure the overall rating of 7 out of 10. Nothing too flashy about this figure but it would not have worked any other way.

Considering how awkward Punisher looks, I'm thinking Panther came first and they decided to co-op his body for Frank.
It definitely look much better, but he's one of those characters that I will have to see in person before I bite.

I'm actually very excited about this figure in particular (along with one other) and looking forward very much to getting it in my hands. Damn the waiting!

Gee, could it be Wolvie, by any chance?
I think I'll have to pass on T'Challa here. The lack of any torso jointage beyond a swivel waist is wrong for this character. He's not a 'stand there and shoot' guy like Frank, so he needs some ball jointage in there somewhere, either a proper waist ball or a good moving (and looking) moob joint like the 25As. WTF's up with his left hand? And what's that mountain set from? That's pretty decent. |

Black Panther looks good. Wish he had a removable short cape though.
Since he occassionally wore one with the classic look. Last edited by Beast; 12-10-2008 at 06:56 PM.. |

That's what I figure also. I've decided against getting this guy. No real reason. Just doesn't do anything for me I guess.
