My local Walmart put out Classified figures for the first time in about a year today so I was able to grab the Snake Eyes movie figure. Despite not having much interest in this figure, he turned out really well and I like him a lot.

^^^ Vehicles should be awesome. They were always undersized even for 3.75 toys. So bigger may actually work for both 3.75 plus Classified figures,

Playsets may even work for both 3.75 + 6 inch too Here's that classic art showing how much bigger this playset should've been. Anyone who had the hq knew it was smaller than the art here...

I did too, but they have yet to ship him out, so we'll see.

^ That's amazing. I thought the only people who had tats like that in Japan are the Yakuza though.

The Yakuza don't have a lock-down on Japan's tattoo parlors. It's certainly common to see Yakuza members with tattoos but there's no reason Storm Shadow couldn't get one himself, especially since the imagery depicts Fujin and Raijin who are the Kami of storms in the Shinto religion. Storm Shadow having a tattoo of the divine storms is a nice little touch of culture in my opinion.

Well not that only the Yakuza had it, but it did make me think of Yakuza.

Received Roadblock from Amazon this afternoon, he shipped over the weekend.
I'm very glad I held off on getting the previous classified series Roadblocks, because this version looks so much better to me. I hope if this line continues we see more characters like this. Classic vintage design with modern touches. Paint is clean on mine for the most part, hardly any slop. His headsculpt has personality to it, and looks spot on. I will have to darken up his eyebrows and facial hair a bit though, the color they used is too close to his skintone. Quality feels good, I had no stuck joints although his hip joints feel weird. They move fine, but it's almost like his hips are too close together or something. It's hard to explain, but something seems off about them. Accessories are fine, I'm happy to see some proper firearms have returned. I did have to use the hair dryer to heat up his holster so the pistol would fit properly. No big deal, same thing for his hands. I like his helmet, and the minigun is better in hand than I expected. I still would have preferred that he came with a browning .50 cal, but I'm sure a replacement will pop up somewhere. He looks great with the valaverse SAW. I do wish he could have come with a backpack. Overall I'm happy. As soon as I opened the box I knew this was cool figure. As a side note, thank goodness they shipped him in the cardboard hasbro box, because mine arrived in an amazon bag, like what they use to ship clothes. Not even a bubble mailer. |

I contacted Amazon today about why my Roadblock was delayed. Turns out they lost it in transit. The first CS rep told be they could price match it to a 3rd party seller. A second CS rep was brought in and told me that they won't price match to a third party seller. He then tried to give me a $15 promo credit to cover the price difference, even though the price difference was $52. I said no to that and canceled my order.
And the cherry on top is that I also had Roadblock ordered through Pulse. But I canceled that order when my Amazon order shipped since I didn't want two. |

TNI linked to the Youtube channel WhatsOnJoeMind for one of their recent videos. I didn't watch it but according to Jay C, they've received info from overseas retailers for what should be coming in the Classified line next year.

Sorry to hear about your issues with Roadblock. I forgot to order him so my chances appear to be around zero. He can get tacked onto my list of 00 Snake Eyes and Regal CC as figures I will probably never obtain because I refuse to pay asinine prices or buy a Pulse Premium membership for a shot at something during the 15 second window when it becomes available.
That list is interesting. I will be curious to see how accurate it is come 2022. If it is correct, I think they still missed the memo about the Target exclusives. If it is still the only version of the character then we risk being in the same situation as with Cobra Island. |
