^ Amazing Joe pics! Poor Happy is working for Cobra now to make ends meet now that Tony Stark is gone.

Thanks. He might be Happy (and Coulson) in your world, but in mine, they alter between a being gangsters, to background nobodies, and then horror movie victims.

Favreau maybe, but I think of Clark Gregg as too clean cut now to be a mob weapons dealer. Just looks like poor G.I.Joe got bad intel and are now ruining SHIELD and Coulson's sting operation. Fury and General Hawk are going to have to have a word after this.

So nice to see people still having fun and playing with their toys. I used to do that with my 1/6 and 3 3/4" Joes, so I know that take time and effort for those photos Kain. I appreciate it!

I've used a few Joe head sculpts & Marvel civilian head sculpts to make my mobster/hitmen/thugs for Kingpin to sick on the good guys.

Never realized how much Classified Flint kinda looks like a Doofus when he is not wearing a military outfit.

Just received a shipping notice for MoD Zartan. Looks like they are on the way.

Damn... looks like the Gung Ho repack that comes with the Bat and Alley Viper is the exact same one as before. I was hoping for a repaint with less shiny parts and maybe more blue like his classic outfit. I would have repacked the Cobra Trooper... you know everybody is gonna be buying cases of this wave... now everybody is gonna have a bunch of Gung Hos.

^ Damn... walked right into that one. But looks like I was mistaken... the Gung-Ho repack is different... it has a much darker green color than the first release... didn't notice it at first. That's something I guess.

Finally managed to get the HA Roadblock. Snagged a set off of eBay with him and 3 more Infantry for just over MSRP. Not that I really needed 3 more Infantry but...
Now if I could just snag a regal CC and maybe the original Snake Eyes without having to sell a kidney. |

Completely anecdotal... but I think those Classified Bats and AVs were the tipping point for a bunch of people to switch from 3.75" Joes to 6" Joes. I don't know when exactly that happened for Marvel and SW, but I definitely felt the transition locally for Marvel when all of sudden a bunch of local collectors started unloading their MU collections at local toy shows both loose and MIB/MOC. I feel like the same is happening now for Joes... at least locally.

Interesting. I kind of wondered what the reaction would be. Personally, I never collected a Joe line until now aside from the few I had as a kid. I would say we may see a divide based around smaller figures with vehicles vs larger with more articulation, details, etc. I still cannot see Hasbro doing larger vehicles for Classified because of the overall scale and price involved. In theory they could cater to the smaller figure crowd by really focusing on the vehicle aspect while still having the Classified line for those more into the figures and wanting something that fits in with other 6" lines. Even a HasLab seems unlikely for anything larger if based on nothing more than the cost of the current 3.75" offering. Curious to see how it unfolds.

^ Yah, I meant 25th and beyond stuff... And for me personally... I don't like the new Walmart Retro Joes like Stalker or Grunt or the new Cobra Troopers... they feel cheaper like MU figures to me. If they had continued in that direction with the newer molds I wouldn't have continued collecting them.

Yeah, I can never see o-ring love going away or being phased out. Modern Era I can see a bit. I myself have thought of offloading my Modern Era stuff numerous times. But only so I can get more O-rings or clear space for new Classified stuff.

I never understood the love for the O-Ring, but then, I had several of my childhood figures fall to pieces due to their O-Rings breaking in the early 2000s. Casualties included tan/red camo Duke, Bison, Zangief, Slice, Despoiler Destro, DeeJay, Repeater, Ninja Force Storm Shadow, and a few others I can't think off the top of my head.

O-ring repair is dead simple, too. In fact, it's really not considered a flaw to have broken o-rings when buying on the aftermarket... unless we're talking about the few "fused torso" figures like Zartan and his siblings, or Ninja Force (and SFII/MK). Those are possible, but they're a right bitch. As it stands now, I can change one out in well under a minute. |

I found the Walmart Exclusive Flint variant today. He doesn't come with his webgear and has a Cobra helmet rather than a berret.
