My favorite part of the packaging is getting the figure out and disposing of it. I genuinely don't really even check it out, now that "also available/coming soon" and file cards have gone the way of the dinosaur. Well, except the Snake Supreme box, I couldn't bring myself to pitch that one... yet.

And I'm sure you can find a LCS that will do just that. Nowadays I dislike cardbacks that have to be ripped apart. I would much rather have a collector friendly box.
I toss the boxes out, so it really doesn't matter, but I'd at least like to feel like I'm getting my money's worth with the packaging. After all, if yoy're going to rape me, at least make it pleasurable.

Normally I don't care about packaging since I open everything, but I am gonna try my very best to keep all my Classified Joes MIB. I also tried to do that with MU when I first started and lasted pretty long too, but then they started doing box sets and comic packs and I only really like keeping things MIB if all the packaging looks the same. In that way I envy Funko Pop collectors since the packaging hasn't changed since the very beginning.

I'd hardly charcterize paying $25 for an action figure "rape". That's just idiotically hyperbolic. Last edited by firmpulse; 11-19-2021 at 08:48 AM.. |

Beach Head, Baroness, Trooper and Breaker are back up on Pulse. They are enforcing limits based on prior purchases however. No extra Trooper for me.

Nice! I would love if they would put up Regal CC again. The only ones I am missing from either in hand or on order are Regal CC and the original Snake Eyes. I would love to have both but I feel like, of the two, the Regal CC is more likely to show up again.

I do not think Classified packaging is boring at all. I really like Classified packaging. Especially the wraparound artwork. If you have two of a figure you can display the front of the box butted up to the spine of the second box and see the whole piece. I appreciate that the boxes are compact, collector friendly and display the figures prominently. Power Rangers Lightning collection uses the same scheme.
Quote:
Star Wars Black Series features fantastic artwork on their wedge shaped spines that, if you have all the figures in a wave, you can create one continuous piece of artwork. However the full art cannot be displayed effectively because of the previously stated wedge shaped spine. If the spines are aligned the boxes take up double the space they should. While the box shapes are more interesting they are also more difficult to display.
Usually the case, but there are cases where loose figures are still selling way above retail in most areas. Although in those cases the packaged one probably isn't available at retail anymore, either. |

That's because most of them are no longer comic shops but game shops that sell comic books. Therefore, they now categorize themselves as specialty retailers and don't have to adhere to normal pricing. For example, back when the original Arkham Asylum DC Direct line came out, one store, called Hero Headquarters, immediately priced Harley at $90 as soon as they pulled the figure out of the case. Batman stayed at the actual DCD price, but the others were upped to $50.

Just heard about this...
Like damn... I never even saw Beach once anywhere and only ever saw Firefly one time being scalped for 50. Now they show up at Bargain Hunt for 14 bucks? I never even heard of that store. |

Probably from the unsold 2nd production run, they may have dumped off some excess as both of those guys were still on Target.com last I looked.

From what I understand it is at a store called Bargin Hunt, which I do not have one any where near me. But I would not doubt if they show up at Ross and other discount stores.

Wait, so you can either get free shipping OR use the coupon code? It doesn't let me get both.

There's been a ton of speculation that this wave may have been intended earlier, but got screwed up somehow. I'd imagine that the estimate is likely further out to play it safe, and could potentially move up- after all, Storm Shadow and Spirit initially also had a July estDD, and are now due in February. What I'm wondering is when we'll have estimates for the last round of CI stuff from Target.
These are also now up on Dorkside. |

The annoying thing about that is my budget. Like I have budgetted for any figures that say they will ship in April to have the money ready by Mid-Feb. Now I'm hearing stuff that says it will ship in April is starting to come in now. I don't have the money for those at the moment as it told me April.
Moving from July to February isn't so bad, because it still allows for some flexibility, but I was a little bit pissed off about the Amazon Wolvie set- "December..... no wait, November..... I mean Tomorrow! That'll be $120, please!". It's a good thing I'd had a slow month with my normal aftermarket pick-ups, or I'd have been in a bit of trouble. |

Damn... people over at Hisstank are finding BATs and AVs on the peg at Target. I guess this is the initial batch and the rest will arrive over the summer. I hope it is like the Flint and Lady Jaye wave... kinda hard to find at first but then gets flooded everywhere a few months later.
