I saw it last night and absolutely loved it. I’m already planning to go back and see it again next week.

Just an fyi for anyone who hasn’t seen the film, there are midcredit and postcredit scenes so stick around.

Hope you feel better man.
Not to start a flame war, but part of me wonders if critics are being harsh because they abandoned the lady Ghostbusters concept, which they gave rave reviews while most audiences thought it stunk worse than Slimer's ectoplasm...

It’s possible. The reviews for the last one were pretty great across the board. I went in with high expectations. I genuinely wanted it to be good and to succeed. I was mortified by how awful it was. Which was surprising to me because the cast was excellent. You nailed it when you said it stunk.

With Afterlife, I avoided reading any news or reviews. And my expectations going in were higher than the previous movie. And I can honestly say it exceeded my expectations. I already want to see it again.

I was very impressed with the movie. I just saw it tonight and I think it's criminal that Phoebe isn't part of the mass retail wave. I was excited for the movie and not so much the figures but after tonight's viewing that definitely turned me. As it is, I now sort of wish I had saved money for that Haslab proton pack. But that was definitely a blast.

Doubtful, mostly because the films haven't been received that differently. 2016 Ghostbusters had mixed critical reviews (74% on RT) and audiences gave it a B+ according to Cinemascore. Afterlife has 63% on RT and an A- on Cinemascore. That's a relatively small difference by those measures, I wouldn't consider 74$ on RT rave reviews and I wouldn't consider a B+ audience score to mean audiences hated it and at this point Afterlife isn't exactly beating 2016 at the box office either despite starting at a traditionally more lucrative time.
Personally I liked 2016 Ghostbusters a lot, I haven't seen Afterlife but I'm looking forward to it.

Quite likely. I don't know how many "professional" critics are saying so outright (I stopped visiting Rotten Tomatoes after the Disney SW movies started hitting theatres) but there seems to be no shortageof people on Twitter who are are absolutely and explicitly salty about the failure of Girlbusters, and that this new film is backtracking to the original setting and characters in response.

So visited Target......man that new two pack was a huge spoiler. But the 2nd figure looks great. I haven't seen the film so I don't know if it's accurate to the film but as a figure, it looks really nice. Wish it wasn't a two pack or else I would have picked it up.

Where are you located? None of the Targets around me have it

Edit: Scratch that. Was able to find a set. A kind employee pulled a case from the back.

Just watched Ghosterbusters Afterlife last night and surprisingly loved it... went out today to see if there were any toys left before realizing this movie actually came out months ago. All I was able to find was the Target 2 pack with Phoebe... which luckily is the main figure that I wanted anyway... she is such a good character.
