Also presented with no commentary needed. Two of the fan favorites from the 80's go head-to-head this week. Pick the best.
GI Joe M.A.S.K.

I'm sure GI Joe will win overall in this contest, but it's so hard for me to pick between the two. Both are lines I was really into when I was a kid; both in show and in figures.

Absolutely evil that these two are pitted against each other IN THE FIRST ROUND! This may be worse for me than Transformers vs. Star Wars was a few weeks ago. . .

Joes all the way. Watched the cartoon and collected the figures. Never watched or bought MASK.

Mask is a bit before my time, but I do remember at an early age playing with Gi Joes, so they take the win for me. Overall Gi Joe triumphs as they still make toys till this present day and the vast number of vehicles and figures made is rediculous!

GI Joe all the way. MASK was an awesome line for sure, but GI Joe pretty much ruled my childhood.

This is a more lopsided 80's battle than Mike Tyson V. Gary Coleman. Cobra all the way.

Wow this bring back good and bad memories for me I had 90% of the joes up to that wave and the entire mask collection including boulder hill. Then all were stolen while I was away by a relative

GI Joe.
It outlasted Kenner Star Wars, and had more articulation, and was based on a more militaristic approach. I do give props to MASK for creativity though, I dug that line too but didn't have the toys. EDIT: I think I had the Venom plane!

G.I.Joe owns M.A.S.K!
Literally Hasbro has the license and they have included Matt Tracker in their 25th Ann line |

looking at the packaging examples shown, if i was a kid i would go for the gi joe. the MASK boxes had no effort put into them or at all made to look exciting.

When I saw this thread, I immediatlely thought "tough decision". However, theres no way I can vote MASK for this! I love GI Joe! Always have, probably always will. The characters, the gear, the articulation, all of it! And it's only been getting better.
All of this being said: Hasbro, please relaunch MASK in GI Joe scale. Thank you, Snailbot. |

Wooow, another unevenly matched smackdown event where the winner is a no-brainer.

I agree these match ups are out there....Joe should have went head to head with TF.....
Of Course TF would have won, but this is just off..... There was another toyline that had small figures that also had a cartoon. They traveled on backpacks hooked to wires.....would have seemed a better match up to MASK.... Mask Vs Visonaries maybe? |

I was never a Joe fan until Renegades. And even then, I don't care for any Joe that isn't from that show.
I did like Mask though. Always felt that was way more inventive and creative. Plus, the characters didn't run around dressed like the Village People, and looking into little boys bedrooms for their PAs.
