Hi everyone, I've got a question for you guys. I noticed that with the Marvel Universe line figures that some of the Captain America shields are reused and some are not. Can anybody who has all the Captain Americas answer this question for me? Is the shield included with the Bucky version Captain America from the Gigantic Battles packaged with Skrull Giant Man a reused shield or a new shield? And if it's a reuse, which Cap is it? For example, some shields have an outline on the innermost circle, some do not. Some have an aged effect, some do not. Some are metallic, some are flat. Most of them have the straps so the shield can be shoulder strapped but the Secret Wars Cap doesn't have straps. Thanks in advance.

AWESOME. Yes, that's exactly what I needed to know. So it IS the same shield as Ultimate Captain America. Perfect.

I'm sure Bucky came with the silver shield. I have two Ultimate Captain Americas, though. One with a silver shield and one with a white one. Has anyone else encountered this??

Um, hi, could I switch the topic over for just a sec?
Quick question, which should I get: -Captain America: The First Avenger - Captain Britain OR -K-Mart Exclusive 3-Pack - Captain Britain They both come with an Excalibur, but I want to know which is the most recent costume along with the figure quality. I kinda wanna swing over to the one with white gloves and lower body, but he seems kinda stocky(?) or short to me. So let's hear it - and again, I apologize for posting this here, didn't wanna start a whole new thread... Also, I don't know much about the character - just think he looks cool, will do some research later. |

Definitely the 3 pack exclusive has the best paint job, plus you get Red Guardian to b00t.

The 3 pack has his modern look. As to the single card has more of an Ultimate look [to me]

Also the MU one is really cool too, and is more to scale, imo.

Yeah, I'd prefer to get the MU one, but it didn't seem like he came with Excalibur, so I opted to get one that did.
Well, if I happen to find the MU one pegged up someplace, I'll be happy to pick him up also! |

I'm thinking of getting the Cap one just for the sword, and use that Cap B as an Ultimate Cap B =3

Again, the only way to get Red Guardian. He was the only reason I even bought that 3 Pack at all. LOL.

Still going to wait for it to go on sale. Can't justify paying 20+ dollars for a figure and a half.

If it makes you feel better the red guardian would make a great base for a captain marvel, the blue faced kree dude.
Is it sad that I look at all of these figures with thoughts for customizing? Last edited by Ragnar; 08-05-2011 at 08:08 AM.. Reason: adding to post |

Wow I never knew that Ult. Cap from MU had different shields. One this is for certain the gimmicky shields are crappy but it's an easy fix if you have the SW cap & you just switch them.
