Let see what could have been included with this figure, Ultimate Nullifier, Norin Radd, the Destroyer, cosmic Doom, cosmic Carnage Galactus helmet for Modok, attachments to connet Modok to Galactus body, physical reprints of some classic Fantastic Four and Thor comics, why hasn't anyone asked for any of this stuff from day one?, I feel like no one on this board even knows who Galactus is or has read a comic book in there life
And there's no other way to say this, but fuck all that Modok shit, to be frank. This is Galactus, not some sideshow accessory for a comparable d grade street-level villain. Tyrant (creation of Galactus and a great antagonist during the Ron Marz run), any herald, Franklin Richards, hell even a Galan of Taa figure or a cardboard cut out of Eternity all>>>>>>>>>>>that Modok nonsense. And you presume ill. I've written 20% (in terms of authorship and content that has not been reverted/stood the litmus test of information and accuracy from other editors) of the Galactus article on Wikipedia, which has a gigantic amount of information on the character. |

Let's be honest with the numbers, half of the orders for this thing are from Hasbro or Hasbro affiliates, this would never have been funded otherwise, this is something Mattel and Hasbro have been doing for years, this figure is a giant turd that would sit at retail for years before it got clearinced down to $75 bucks, you guys are paying $400 for a giant purple turd.

It's been a well known fact that Mattel, Wizards of the coast, Hasbro, Disney and Marvel buy there own products, it's been going on for years there's been multiple forums about this subject over the years, most famous being Mattel's MOTUC line, the proof you want is all over the web, do some digging not hard to find

I'm done, you guys didn't make a single valid point to me, enjoy that hulking ugly Galactus that looks like a fourteen year old designed on the back of a school folder ;-)

You didn't like the heralds, but someone else did so you moved on. You accused everyone of not knowing the character, and when they did you just moved on. You asked why nobody was complaining then, you guessed it, moved on when people brought receipts My favorite may have been when you responded to someone offering ideas for accessories or mentioning things they wished were different with telling them they weren't asking for anything and probably never read comics You're not actually engaging in conversation, you're just getting upset that people aren't agreeing with you. Just chill out, duder |

All of these big projects bring out a few people that want nothing more for them to fail. People said hasbro bought barges too….well, where did they go? eBay is not flooded with them….so…. If I didn’t like this I’d just move along and be happy for the 20,000 + collectors that do want this.

In the end it's simple for me
If next year I get a 32 inch Galactus, I'm going to be a happy camper. If next year I get the cherries and whipped cream of the Tiers, then I will be ecstatic. As of this post, 190 more needed to make the next tier. I think Tier 3 is going to happen. Now a Tier 4 if it exists would need to be pretty small given the time left. I'd only see them doing it if they KNEW they were close enough to end on a successfully funded project with all Tiers unlocked. That said, reaching 20,000 is pretty bloody impressive. The high backer rate was really annoying because of how long it took to go from potential failure to preorder. Without that safety net, it was pretty nailbiting. I knew there would be a surge but it's like they announced a tier and the next day it surged to get past it. |

That person seemed nice and well adjusted. I am sure they have a lot of friends and family that love them.
While I'm not expecting a last minute Tier 4 when they reach 20k (at the rate it's going, I cannot imagine them not hitting it), I have a wild longshot hope that when it's over, Hasbro just says "We're so happy with how this all went, we're throwing in this 4th Legends Herald figure." Like I said, wild longshot hope. |

As I am writing this its up to 19919. ITS HAPPENING!
Now they need a firelord or airwalker for the 4th extended goal at 21k and I will be in herald Heaven! Last edited by baue1446; 08-28-2021 at 09:45 PM.. |

Lol My dude, this was plucked straight from my frontal lobe. I blinked several times when I read the prioritization of MODOK and SYMBIOTE yarns out of the numerous meaningful and momentous stories involving Galan. Then did a double take as that was followed up by impugning and lambasting the Galactus knowledge of anyone that supports the project. Well, I had no other choice than to immediately dismiss these criticisms as specious and comically suspect. Yeah, fuck that noise.
Beyond that being one mean run-on, Bookstoremagic, I'm curious about what you are implying here in the highlighted bit. Are you suggesting some long history with crowd-funding for Hasbro and Mattel? Additionally, are you suggesting these companies are somehow engaging in cooking the numbers? Is there any evidence for what you are suggesting, or is this just wildly irresponsible speculation? Because my fellow heralds, MORG ACQUIRED!! Over 20k now! Personally I'm hoping for stardust tier 4 with Tyrant as a pipe dream. Really I was sold at $400 with Galactus alone so this is beyond my expectations! Yep, Jesse falcon confirmed on an FB group that morg is not the final tier |

I don't think we need to have name calling or insulting family. That's just bullying.
So as of this post 20,618 backers. All announced tiers unlocked. Less then 35 hours left on the clock. Do they announce a 4th Tier? Again I think they took a look at what needed improving which is what the Victory Saber Haslab has Tier# unlocks listed all at the start. They can announce a 4th Tier but would they even do it in time for that to matter? If you aren't on board yet, I don't think you are getting on the train. Even Morg was a render vs them having actual pics for the the other two. ----------------- All in all this was a very successful campaign. If it ended right now it would be about 1200 shy of sentinel. Really I don't know where the final count will. Be typing this post it already added like 40 more backers. --------------- Edit 4th Tier indeed announced and it's a Doom Head in Galactus colors. 22k needed which might be feasible. Not one I'm all that excited about. Probably get less facetime then the main head. Last edited by Designincase; 08-29-2021 at 10:46 AM.. |

For a split second I thought it was a small marvel legends version of Dr. Doom. I was reaching for my wallet to buy a 2nd. Then saw its a head and put the wallet down.
I mean dont get me wrong it looks pretty cool. But if Im buying a 400 dollar Galactus you can bet your pretty little bottom im going to display him as Galactus not Dr Doom. I wish it was just a 6 inch legend and not a head. They almost had double my money |

Just a heads up to all - ok to voice opinions for and against this, and debate it. Just keep it respectful, respect each others points of view. Don't attack personally, etc.

A Doom head? I would have much rather gotten an a Galan head. Not a fan of the Doom head. Not at all.

What happened to all the rumors/hints from Hasbro that one of the later stretch goals would make Galactus an army builder of some kind to encourage people to buy a 2nd or 3rd one? Jay on Toy News International was talking about that a couple weeks ago on his yotube channel and saying there was speculation that there could be an alternate head and some add-on/swap out pieces for the body to make it look like a Celestial. That clearly didn't pan out and none of the Heralds or this Doom head seem to promote the idea of army building Galactus. Huge missed opportunity in my opinion. The Doom head is a lame final item for this. I would have preferred the Celestial rumor to be true or at least one more Herald figure.

Yeah, the appeal of the Doom head is low, but it's all extra now anyway.

That's the thing about rumors and the internet. Some statements are misinterpreted and take on a life of their own. My guess is Army Builder in the minds of whoever said it meant reaching three of the Tiers would build a group of Heralds for Galactus. Army building not in having multiples of the same army but assembling a "Team". They may also be planning heralds down the line so by the time it comes out we can buy those and add on. Then some may have taken it as needing to buy multiples of Galactus. If Hasbro reps also said this, they may have just assumed a Doom Galactus head was totally awesome and didn't read the room. When it comes down to it, Galactus could support a few waves and accessories that they were never going to put in everything that anyone could possibly want. The tiers are a cherry on top. |
