Well , that’s gorgeous. Hot toys has a “shining” kind of thing with this Nolan trilogy.

It's always pleasant to see Hot Toys continuing to revisit some older releases to cull some of the secondary market and add some modern improvements. Feels very similar to how Bandai is treating their SoC and Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou lines.
The Bat Pod is a wonderful surprise to see getting a re-release and I hope those that wanted it are able to get there hands on it this time. |

Once again HT goes the lazy route. They've done this figure THREE TIMES. Yes, the eyes on the DX12 were very inaccurate but luckily they did a better one with the Armory set. Any other grievances were most likely from that trash group of "customers" on the Facebook page who do nothing but complain about the dumbest stuff.
I love DC, but s*** like this is why they're (by a wide margin) the second most popular comic book company in the world. |

If there weren't piles of unreleased prototypes in their offices, multiple delays and specified release dates so ridiculous I can't even blame Joe Moore for getting them wrong this would be a different story. "Cull?" Are you serious? Sometimes people buy things others miss out on and if that group wants them they have to pay extra. You'd think after the third time the most popular version of Batman gets released that group would learn its lesson but I guess that's asking too much.

Ignore this, I just cant help myself: this is Insectman with his Child Head. An amazing recreation from: a movie and design that both lack any finesse or art.
A style that will not last the test of time. |

This looks great, but my initial reaction was definitely "huh, again?"
I used to buy a lot of HT since I knew that I could sell them later if I got tired of them and not lose money (including shipping & fees thanks to some appreciation in the value). I cut back on my HT purchases considerably once they got into the mode of continually refining prior releases. The fact that costumes don't change a whole lot from film to film in the DCEU was also a factor since that meant that a new version of the character was always on the way with a costume that has generally been slightly tweaked for the better. I like that HT continually improves and evolves. It is great for the industry and for people who don't mind rebuying to get an improved product. It just isn't great for someone like me who has limited display space and makes too many impulse buys that are eventually replaced with new impulse buys. MUST FIGHT "BUT SHE HAS A NEW HAT!" IMPULSE |

Most of this is a reuse. Only things really new is the sonar sculpt and Wayne head.
Aftermarket prices weren't even high. |
