I know there are several threads similar to this already, but indulge me for a moment. While I was browsing the endless pegs of Ironmen the other day I started to think about what I would include in the next five or so waves if I were a designer at Hasbro. Keep in mind there are usually 5 figures per wave and Hasbro seems to feel the need to include at least one Ironman, Spiderman, Wolverine, or Captain America in each wave. With that in mind, here we go...
Wave 1 - The X-Men Wave 1. Professor X 2. Rogue (Modern with Jim Lee variant) 3. Beast (Classic furry with cat face variant) 4. Mr. Sinister 5. Wolverine (Astonishing/Avengers) Wave 2 - The Spidey Wave 1. Doctor Octopus 2. Kingpin 3. Aunt May 4. Vulture 5. Spiderman (Paper Bag) Wave 3 - The Avengers Wave 1. Scarlet Witch 2. Ares 3. She Hulk 4. Kang 5. Ironman (Modular armor. The real modular armor) Wave 4 - The Cosmic Wave 1. Firelord 2. BetaRay Bill 3. Terrax 4. Beyonder 5. Vance Astro (ala headband and trench coat Captain America) Wave 5 - The Villain Wave (aka the wave too cool for them to ever make) 1. Mephisto 2. Dracula 3. Lady Death 4. Dormamu 5. Wolverine (Lord of the Vampires) Call me crazy, but to me every one of those figures would be must buys. So how would you fill out the next few waves if you had your say? |

I thought this was serious until I read Aunt May. Now I see you're just having us on.

LOL. I really wanted to put Mysterio in Aunt May's spot, but I couldn't imagine Hasbro having the shutzpa to make a wave where 4 out of 5 figures are villains. Besides, it also wouldn't be Hasbro if there wasn't at least one figure at which you could roll your eyes.

I'd love to see Gambit redone in the MU style. Otherwise, your waves look pretty good.

I don't think Marvel has the rights to Lady Death and she would fall over anyway; I think she's too top heavy for double knee joints.
I was actually surprised at myself, but I don't like the idea of a Major Victory Vance Astro at all. I think he needs the containment suit and the shield both if anyone's going to buy him. But the list was good. if we get half of what's on your list by the time the line finished, I'll be happy. Wolverine, Lord of the Vampires was inspired. I think the line needs some more What If...? characters in the mix. |

Also, I would like to see Lady Deathstrike, a redone Daredevil and Bullseye (2-pack?!) with better accessories, an Astonishing Wolverine with a mask (just the XMO version with Colossus.. give it a masked headsculpt.. was never able to find the 2-pack so yeah).. the rest are more or less covered by OP's list. Also, please stop dishing out anymore Iron Man and Spiderman (regular versions). However, I wouldn't mind a REAL modular armor mold since its one of my favorite armors. As for Spiderman, I'm gonna cry if I see another regular version after that Captain Britain 2-pack.. that one's excused because it has better articulation. Only eventual Spidey fig I would be able to stomach is the FF costume. Just no more regular Spidey. Please. -_- |

^I forgot to add Dan Ketch Ghost Rider.. and make sure it has a bike. And a new Red Skull, though there are rumors that he will be one of the figs in the Cap line. Hoping for a Baron Zemo as well.
And since they can't get Punisher right, just make a Frankencastle. lol |

Personally I'd pick:
Wave 5: (Cosmic) Nova Prime Starlord Quasar (new) Spider-Man (Captain Universe) Rom the Space Knight Wave 6: (Avengers/ForceWorks) Scarlet Witch (Force works short hair) Century US Agent (Force works) Mandarin (Hands of the mandarin version) Ironman (Modular, based on the IM season 2 design) Wave 7: (Changing Directions) Vance Astro Spider-Man (Future Foundation) Venom (New paramilitary one) Ghost Rider (Daniel Ketch Cyberpunk version) Songbird Wave 8: (Of Gods and Men) Storm (in asgardian storm bringer costume with hammer) Ironman (Thor buster armor) Doctor Strange (Trenchcoat version like the animated movie) Ares Thunderstrike Wave 9: (Nothing is what it seems) Mockingbird (modern) Horseman Gambit Anti-Venom A-Bomb (Rick Jones) Rescue Wave 10: (Keeping Secrets) Uncanny X-Force Archangel (different than the exclusive one) Modern X-Force Wolfsbane (wolfed out) Max Fury (Nick Fury clone) Secret Avengers Beast Nova armor Commander Rogers Wave 11: (Training Sessions) Emma Frost Rockslide Pixie Astonishing/Avengers Wolverine Anole Wave 12: (New X-Men) X-23 (academy X) Hellion (Hellions) Forge Bastion Surge Wave 13: (Testing the water or the "It'll never happen" wave) Prodigy (Slingers, but alt peter parker one) Lady Hydra X-23 (Captain Universe) Kimura Ricochet (Slingers, but the alt Peter Parker one) I'd like to see a variant unmasked X-Force outfit X-23 in the cases too. My list also slightly cheated, using X-23 in place of wolverine in spots, Rescue in place of Ironman in spots, and slingers in place of spider-man. In fact, with Slingers you can have an entire wave of spider-man, and no one would probably bat an eye at it. Last edited by Snowflakian; 03-13-2011 at 01:43 PM.. |

I'd be very happy if they released a wave with Professor X, Beast and Rogue in it. Hopefully with the new film coming out we might finally see them in MU form.

I would definitely like to see a Professor X, but maybe a couple variants. They could do one with him in his hover chair and one with him standing in his old army uniform. That would be pretty neat.
