These toys that would be an insult to Happy Meal toys. Horrible distribution on the Marvel Universe figures. Over saturating the movie lines with just a few hero characters. It's almost like Hasbro wants to kill the 3 3/4" Marvel figures. I hope kids like the figures but given how long the Iron Man 2 spent on store shelves I've got a bad feeling we are going to see these things on store shelves for a very long time.

Or maybe ToyArk doesn't decide what toys to take pictures of based on your personal opinion?
The line is certainly disappointing but if you think the figure sucks, wouldn't you be happy that the site did a gallery to show people that it sucks? They do this with random figures in lines all the time and they make posts about it. That was a completely unwarranted attack on the site, to be honest. I see a $10 price point, the gloves come off. Price was revealed during Toy Fair. $9.99 each.

For once, I agree with you. And he real deciding point on these "action figures" will be the price. If they're not that expensive, then there's not much reason to complain. Cheaply made toys that are sold cheap aren't worth complaining about.

Those are actual Marvel Happy Meal toys. Again, I get the anger but the Assemblers are still a clear step up over THAT Iron Man. Haha. Quote:

Sometimes bad decisions are just that: bad decisions. There doesn't need to be an ulterior motive behind it. |

If they wanted to kill the line, they would literally just kill the line and stop spending ANY money on it. Sometimes bad decisions are just that: bad decisions. There doesn't need to be an ulterior motive behind it. |

I guess they don't decide based on general consensus of their audience either. I don't really see any attack, except maybe by you. I mean, I was poking fun. There have already been dozens of pictures of this figure here and other sites. How often do you see a post covering a single MU figure, especially if we've already seen pictures of the wave already? Just wouldn't surprise me if this was paid for but my point is that there has been more than enough coverage for this junk and 9 out of 10 here would agree with me.

I found it hilarious last night that Walmart had these Assemblers at $9.96 and the then the peg over they had Iron Man 2 figures also at $9.96. Along the same lines, maybe this year Walmart will finally sell a couple of Thor 1 figures when Thor 2 comes out.

Most members on this site and most older collectors in general will probably pass on the Assemblers, myself included. Also the staff on this site as a whole would love to post more galleries of cool new stuff we have in our collections but we don't always have the time. When the Iron Man 2 figures were 1st released I rushed to get my camera out, bust open photo editing programs to resize and upload my photos and reviews here. However I got busy with other things off-site and couldn't review the entire line as I had wished. I basically stopped after the 1st wave of movie figures(or maybe it was 2 waves?). BTW the only time Hasbro sends stuff for free is usually when a huge movie comes out. Sometimes they send a press kit to the site owner(s). No one at this point has received a Hasbro press kit with a crapload of Iron Man 3 figures. I don't think Toyark got one for Iron Man 1 or 2. The last ones I remember were for Transformers 1(2007) which Tony_Bacala got I think. I can't speak for Fran but I think he mainly got this Assemblers figure because it was new. He and I have talked about Iron Man 3 a bit before Toy Fair and the Legends figures imo are the only ones worth buying.

The real problem with these is that it would hard to even customize better articulated arms and legs. I'd like to see some pictures of the $5.99 figures opened up and see if swapping IM2 limbs would be possible.

Do you think you could do that with these IM3 assemblers?

Problem isn't the knees and elbows but the shoulders and hips.

Hell, shrink these down, and they'd actually make good Happy Meal toys!

I am in the most minor of orities in that I quite like this line. I picked up the Mark 42 armour yesterday and while it is what it is, it's quite a nice toy. The sculpting and detail is simple and the paint is nice for whats there. I look forward to picking up the rest.
The lack of articulation is a bit of a bummer, but I found that some of the Iron Man 2 stuff was too fiddly to enjoy on a whole as well, maybe I lack patience or dexterous fingers to be able to enjoy them completely. They are quite over priced and maybe I'll wait until they get reduced to pick up more. Hasbro missed a trick though I think, a couple versions of Tony Stark to swap arms, head and legs with would have been cool too. That it's all more versions of Iron Man is a bit limiting for what this line could potentially be. Anyway, rather like it for what it is, can see why folks dislike it, more for me |

I could but I would have to buy doubles of each one because I would have to hack away at too much of the limbs, I wouldn't be able to salvage all of them.
I would probably go with DCUC style hips on these. |

I dropped into a Toys-R-Us about the time Transformers Dark of the Moon was released and the shelves were so full of Revenge of the Fallen toys you would have thought was the movie coming out. |
