This is great news for Lego and LOTR fans! Lego Barad-dur anyone?
And look to Traveler's Tales to possible (and most likely) make some Lego LOTR and Hobbit video games now! |

Let's hope this is as good as what fans have already made.
The possibility of LOTR/Hobbit Lego games is most intriguing. I would not mind that at all. |

YES! Bring on the TT games!
This has been on my want list for a while now! (Here's hoping we'll get a DCU game, and a Marvel U game, too)

It's great news.
Lego has been doing some pretty cool fantasy related stuff with their minifigures so I'm really interested in how good the Lord of the Rings sets and mini-figures will look. As easy as Lego figures are to customize and some great 3rd party accessories out there to go with Lego figures there should be tons of cool stuff to build. Now if I could just build cool stuff like some of the insanely skilled and creative fans build. |

Kudos to Lego for getting the rights to another IP. At this rate, Lego will eventually build the ultimate Geek multiverse in toy form.
Must resist another toy line....must...resist.... Quote:
How about a full rendition of the Lego-ized inscription? One Brick to rule them all, We seek to find them, One Brick to build them all and in the darkness buy them.

oh crap
I just realized What if Lord of the Rings ends up becoming a perminant fixture at Legoland. you go there, and theres a big 20 foot tall Tower with Sauron on it made of legos. Oh man, must go. as Mike Myers playing Dieter said on Sprockets on SNL. "I adore lego, they are a million toys in one"

For someone who has gone to great lengths as a kid to make his own LOTR legos, this is an absolute, mind-blowing dream come true.

Alas... Lego... las!
Nice. Quote:
The next one is Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes and the one after that I think is Lego Toy Story... so maybe next year they can do the LOTR one. |
