Baton $45 from Ross. Deadpool head because it’s a Deadpool head! Just missing the Amazon Holiday Stormtrooper.

The Toy Hunt fates were with me today. Big score on the Doom Slayer on clearance. I grabbed the last Venomized Cap on the shelf at Wallyworld (I saw 7-8 Excl. Black Widows also). I finished off my figs for Venompool. Cad Bane and Jango were a big surprise at GameStop.I even scored a free Goku when hunting the clearance section of GameStop. I loaded up on some fodder with the GameStop Marvel sale+clearance. Target was the only disappointment of the day, 3 stores with nothing of note on the shelf. They canceled my online order because their inventory was wrong. Last GameStop run of the night...now to explain this to my wife without ending up sleeping in the yard tonight.

In short I think he's fine, not bad but not truly great either. He's nicely sizable and they did a good job sort of reconciling his various looks into one figure but his articulation is notably limited, mainly the torso and hip joints. I'm personally quite happy with it but I also wanted the other two figures in the set and got it on sale so money saved might be skewing my opinion a little.
I'll keep an eye out for an eBay deal...

Batman and the Joker arrived today. They look like they stepped off the screen. Mark Hamill is my 2nd favorite Joker behind Heath Ledger. Wish they could have finished the line.

Got gifted a bunch of high end pieces recently and this HotToys Thanos was one of them. I'm all about figures having shelf presence moreso than crazy amounts of articulation and this guy radiates it, IMO. My first and only HotToys acquisition...unless they ever decide to make the 70s CBS Marvel heroes. |

I got the new black series Admiral Ackbar yesterday. The first thing I noticed with this figure is that they unnecessarily gave him a soft plastic over-piece on his torso instead of just sculpting the whole thing, his uniform in the movie does have these layers but doing it this way on the toy doesn't look right. Also his sleeves should go down just past his elbows instead of ending before them. His articulation is subpar for the line but still serviceable, the main drawbacks are his neck being limited and his elbow and knee joints only bending 90 degrees despite other figures in the line getting more range also using single hinges. He comes with a blaster just because they wanted him to have one I suppose. His head and forearms look good, the sculpt is solid and the paint is well applied. If I weren't fond of Ackbar I'd probably be disappointed with this figure but at the end of the day I am happy to have the character's original look in the 6" scale. The Last Jedi Ackbar that was in the TRU two pack is probably the better toy in terms of "playability" but I can look at this one and imagine him yelling his iconic line.
