Hi, so a few things.
So I’ve collected 6-inch figures all my life. Recently Marvel Legends and Black Series. But now I’ve given up on hasbro. Don’t get me wrong, legends and Black Series are fine for the price but I want better figures. So, I decided to scrap Hasbro and go for Japanese items. My dad collects Kotobukiya and Hot Toys and he swears I’m better off with Asian companies. I came to the conclusion that I was going to collect either MAFEX or Bandai. The thing is I own some SH figurarts and monsterarts, so I know Bandai is great. But the DC and Star Wars figures from MAFEX are sooo tempting. BUT I’ve read that MAFEX has issues like joints that pop off or meh materials. What would you do? Trust MAFEX with their new releases or should I just stick to Bandai? Thanks. |

Bandai is pretty reliable but sometimes the heads can look a little off like on Vader and the OT Stormtrooper. I watched the Fwoosh's review of the Mafex BvS Batman and Superman this morning. Batman turned out pretty well but Superman had some QC issues. All I can really say about Mafex is watch some reviews before you pay for anything. Since Bandai is doing a Suicide Squad figures maybe we'll see BvS figures some time soon.

I can probably count on 1 hand the number of QC issues I've read about SH Figuarts/Monsterarts, and I read a bunch of online forums. I've have a complete collection of SHF Avengers and Star Wars releases so far and they are all great.
SHF head sculpts cannot be matched. Mafex's are pretty good, but SHF are outstanding. That being said Mafex aren't complete shit, I mean they work well and look good when they work, you can always add some future to the joints, but there's just been a bunch of issues reported. My Stormtrooper and DV fall apart at the waist while handling them sometimes. As an FYI, if you're looking at DC figures, they have distribution here, so you can buy them from Amaazon and the like and don't have to import them yourself. |

mafex seems to have improved
i might get batman more then superman after watching anthonyscustoms reviews on youtube. batman seems to have worked, though superman i was expecting a fully wired cape but it isn't, only the bottom, so might need to wait for the justice league wave in order to get him... i save money this year which is good This from the new BvS line |
