For once I'm glad I passed on all previous releases of this figure. I might finally get this one. Still, it's pretty bad that NECA keeps doing new releases of this figure with more and more stuff, kind of screwing over the people that already bought the previous releases and may have to double or triple dip to get any new heads or accessories. Why can't NECA just do accessory sets for this kind of thing instead?? They've done that before for Friday the 13th and Aliens and Predator figures. I'm still annoyed about the 2 recent King Kong releases and the 2nd Thing Macready figure that's completely identical to the first release except with a couple different heads and accessories.

Finally an actual 'Ultimate' version of a million Ultimates.

This is a good release, but also an odd one at the same time.
The digital face printing is hardly new. This was a running change made for all the releases of the original IT 2017 ultimate figures. Each figure was updated with digital face printing and included white painted gloves rather than gloves cast in gray plastic as all of the original ultimate releases were. The It Chapter 2 figure also came standard with white gloves and digital face printing. The digital printing is also not that significant of an update considering that the painting on the previous Ultimate was already pretty great. With all these faces, it’s surprising that NECA still hasn’t given us a propped Pennywise with blue eyes from the opening scene. Yes, a version of it did come with the diorama set, but NECA painted it as if he were covered in shadows which is an odd choice considering the sewer diorama naturally casts shadows on all the heads when using it. This set is also lacking the a closed mouth serious head, (found in the original ultimate release) and the painted lady head, the mouth full of arms head and the dead lights head (found in the Dancing Clown Ultimate releases I have every Pennywise release up to this point so this set is not necessary at all for me, but for those who missed out on them, this is a good on stop shop. |

Ugh. Enough with the billion Pennywise releases, NECA. You've bled the license dry by this point. This is just getting sad.

I only got the first release so I might want that. Plus that one had a fused hip so it's only good for standing around.

Maybe them and McFarlane are choosing Pennywise and Batman in their secret "who can make 100 figures with the same likeness in less than two years" challenge.

Never got the appeal of these horror figures because there are no other characters to go with them. This looks like a great value, though.
