So here is the plan I want everyone to post thier latest and greatest 3.75 customs, but also leave us with the recipe so that if we choose to we can create something that we may have not realized is available.
There are so many customs I have made that involved a simple head swap from so and so and BAM it was instantly someone else. I don't want to be to only person posting so please don't be shy, if you have something you are working on feel free to post WIPs. Also this is a community so if you are only looking to tell someone how terrible their work is, this is not the place for it. That being said constuctive criticism is encouraged. I have learned a lot from fellow arkers and I hope to share and gain knowledge from this thread. Alright lets get this party started! |

I give you Random and Cannonball Random This was done with a Solomon Grundy Injustice figure which I did very little painting and the arm is actually from the old Toybiz Random figure. I attached the arm to the existing articulated one using Apoxie. Then I casted Luke Cage's knit cap in brown to top him off. Cannonball Really easy custom I used a cast of Angel's Head and threw it on Ghost Riders body. I then super glued two strips of the clear rubberbands (the ones that hold the figures in thier package) and made the two small circles by taking a stir straw and cutting the Apoxie like cookie dough. The knees were Ronins. A quick paint job later and what you see is what you get. |

Did you use Jango Fett's jetpack for Pyro's fuel tank? That's pretty clever.

Huh I still have that Jango, also are those swords you're using just like the ones you use for hors d'oeuvres and olives, but obviously painted now.

Here's one of my earliest and favorite figures. While I liked the MU Ghost Rider I wanted one that looked a bit more modern. Some parts have changed since I first put it together as I may see something I like more and swap it out.
Head and chain are from the MU GR but I painted the flamey bits a brighter orange Body/upper arms is POC Snake Eyes Lower arms are from ROC Cobra Commander Hands are from the DC Multiverse Arkham City Batman Belt is one of the tube things from the POC Duke's giant backpack gun thing and the buckle just a random piece of plastic painted grey Legs are from XMOW movie Logan Feet are POC Dusty |

Spiral Her recipe was fairly easy as well. I used a Psylocke body and head and all the extra arms were from Avatar figures. I put some Apoxie on her boot cuffs and used the removable helmet from that terrible Wolverine Line Silver Samurai. |

Nice, I like the paint on the flames it really stands out.
You Frankenstien'd the hell out him and I love it. That is why I do this stuff. I really like when I have used parts from like five or six different figures that are all produced by Hasbro and everytime its complete I say why don't they just do this??? |

Thanks. I like to think of it as "If I made a GR movie..." that's more or less how he'd look. And it would star Karl Urban.

Exactly, but I can't take credit for that idea. My good friend and new to ToyArk, CyttoraksCousin came up with that idea. He actually used a silver caligraphy pen and it stuck to the plastic really well. Now Spiral is holding all that she can LOL.

Here's another I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I loved the XMOW line but was disappointed they didn't make previous X-Men movie characters as figures in the line. Now while not being a straight up movie Wolverine (believe me I tried but boy did it not work out) I tried to blend his movie uniform with the Ultimate X-Men uniforms.
Head is the XMOW comic Logan Upper body/arms XMOW Astonishing Wolverine Hands are from XMOW Weapon X Legs are from the first Thor movie Loki (the one with no helmet and the daggers) Feet are from ROC impact armor Duke |

Cool. I hope we don't have to wait too long to see Baron Strucker again in the MCU. I loved the tease at the end of Cap 2.

I will be finishing our HYDRA vehicles and completing THREE custom figures this summer. TIGRA, MOONDRAGON and JOCASTA also still working on the S.H.I.E.L.D.troopers, still need another 6 cast heads, and 16 gun harnesses... painted and logos applied already though.
As for JOCASTA, I plan on TRYING to silverleaf the figure instead of paint. Seal the guilding and polish to a mirror shine... we will see. Also for TIGRA have a Future Foundation SUE STORM that I stripped th black off of and plan on TRYING boiling (softly) her in orange dye. Pretty hopeful for the 'paint' on those two as it SHOULD (in theory) be flawless, brush free and NO rub or exposed areas.

As for the shield agent heads are you just looking for the head of the one from the 3 pack? I might have some extras already casted, might not be perfect casts but could suffice. Also I know a while ago you were asking about sidearms well. This was the first batch I ever made, I have since purchased black casting dye to make them in grey or black. |

awesome thread! all of these customs are amazing! love the warriors three! K Dubious, how did you attach Spiral's extra arms? and can someone either do, or recommend a good tutorial on casting? all of the ones I've seen so far assume that the viewer(me) knows a bit about casting... and I do not! what paints/epoxies do you guys recommend?

As far as casting goes I highly recommend just trying it out. The cheap silicon mold stuff I get at Hobby Lobby (the pink one) with the 40% off coupons comes out to be like 15 bucks and the resin is only 10 without the coupon. I'm still very much a beginner as well. I have learned that 2 part molds are the key to success and I always mold using old legos as my mold base. For brush painting I use citadel paints from games-workshop and everything else I airbrush. I just tried Milliput epoxy for the first time and I really like it, it's Super cheap at hobby lobby, only 8 bucks. I was using Apoxie that I got off the internet, but its a bit more expensive and I can't ride up the road to get it. Last edited by K Dubious; 05-31-2014 at 03:45 PM.. |

Have you ever tried WATER SLIDE DECALS mate? You can have PERFECT emblems, symbols, logos, and the like. Super hi def images shrunk down, could even do an Agent Coulson level 7 ID badge with Clark Greg's image shrunk down to perfection in an ID badge on 3.75" scale. Just a small example of what is possible. Just saying, it is easy to do and easy to make.
It is just a LASER printer (like at Staples,or LARGE print shop) Waterslide paper (for cheap on eBay) High resolution images from google Done. Download, take your files to the printers along with the paper and a $-tenner-$.... Bob's your uncle. edit.... Those Kree are awesome sauce with a side of gravy!!!!
