They are probably doing what they did with thor, make wave 1 full of shitty multiple figure like thor had 2-3 version, odin, frost giant and loki, they pump the stores full and test the sales, then based on it order wave 2 and 3 and usually 2-5th wave are best.

man i'll just wait for pics of the rest of the line. hopefully they weren't put in the back or gone in some fashion.
i just hope to see beyond wave 2. thor stuff barely got past wave 1 here and only saw a handful of helmeted thors here and there. the main thing i don't like how they handled this line is the way the cut back on the articulation. of all the movie toys that deserve good joints and they don't even bother. |

haha man i remember seeing those shots of widow and the unmasked stark and rhodey thinking they'd be the only toys i'd buy from the line only to have them never get a release. still kinda ragey about that.
now i kinda need to see this comic series hulk. can't imagine it to be that terrible. |

awwwh man. I really wish it was just made up. I wonder what hawkeye and black widow are going to end up lookin like. With widow though, you couldn't really get worse than MU. Not saying she's a "bad" figure. Just completely void of detail.

Was the Thor you saw the same Thor as the one on the back of the package?
I'm 99% sure that's Ultimate Thor on the back, who I can't wait to get!

no offense to MU fans but i think they are slightly rushed with paint apps with some of their figures i dont why they dont seem in great qualitity as they could be

Pretty sure he found the "Deluxe" figures, not the regular ones. Deluxe figures usually have crappier paint jobs, less articulation, and ludicrous (kid-oriented) accessories. The "basic" figures will likely be better (and will probably include Hawkeye, Widow, etc..... We've already seen a Loki figure, too.
Also, I think the release date for these is late Feb/early March, isn't it? |

The packaging and simple paintjob on the figure scream knockoff to me.

Looks like ironman, cap and thors line will be getting replaced with this that includes repackaged figures from their respective lines. Not surprising so long as they filter in some new ones too.
Ultimate Thor and Hawkeye I need for my ultimate shelf, other than that I just need the new ironmna, cap, blackwidow, and hawkeye for my movie-verse shelf. So unless they do manage to get some awesome in there, it looks like a good chunk of the repackaged I can skip. Unless they repackage some of the more fan demanded figures like comic ironmonger and mandarin. Marketing-wise, I wouldn't be surprised if they manage to throw in a few X-Men figures for giggles. Like the XMO:W cyclops. xD But that's only if hasbro has a sense of humor with AVX coming. |

as for this Avengers line, its pretty obvious its the movie line. you can tell by the logo and the character faces. 'pretty boy' Thor is a dead give away. i wouldn't hold my breath for a Comic Line though. remember there was supposed to be a Comic Red Skull with the CA line and that never happened. overall, from the pics... so far, so suck. |
