I like the Ammobots line. Sort of basic, but still fun toys.

Hi there, can someone help me source this please? It looks like a 4 inch Biotron from Micronauts? I gotta get one!
Thanks, JD |

YU-DO wave 1 is hitting. First video shows the case breakdown. Hope you like Red Rangers cause they're half the case.

So the Minipla blog revealed that Scissors will come with an adapter so that YU-DO figures can hold Minipla VS vehicles. Specifically LupinRed can use Scissors as a shield like in the show. I hope the boomerang weapon is in the accessories of YU-DO wave 2.

Going to need to look into those. I've been building a new S.H.I.E.L.D. sub team for my shelf that focuses on tech oriented stuff, and things like that robo dog and some of the other material would be perfect for it.
Right now I'm using mostly a blend of Corps Elite(Puma and Snakebite repainted, Impact, and Titan), Oretoku robots, and other random odds and ends for it like a dollar store robot I repainted. Quote:

The stickers wouldn't bother me as much if the rest of the articulation was there... There's really no reason the sentai shouldn't be shodo because they don't really have a gimmick like exaid and build do. It's just bandai being kinda cheap, lol... I also really hate the elbows on the Yo-Do(so-do) figures. At least there's wrists now though...I think.

Yeah, I got them on liquidation at Toys Я Us. They're pretty terrible.

Bandai revealed after ShodoVS wave 9, the next set will be called Shodo-X wave 1. This will feature Kamen Rider's original bike, the Cyclone, as well as renewals of Rider 1, Sakurajima Rider 1, and Rider 2. I highly recommend looking at the blog's comparison pictures to the old figures. They've made some cool improvements so that the figures can ride the bike properly.

Personally, I want them to do Sentai Shodo though. The candy kit figures are usually at this kind of weird between size. Not quite Bandai action figure sized, but bigger than 1:18th scale. I did like the ones they did for Den-O and Decade though. Those fit in perfectly with MRS and Shodo. Granted then they went slightly larger with W towards the Geki candy kit figure size. Haven't checked if they ever went back to the Den-O and Decade sized ones. The Decade ones have been my default Diend and Decade ultimate form for 1:18th scale for years. Thankfully they seem to be getting some Shodo figures later too though. Now if only they'd do Amazons too. But overall, really loving how much Shodo is covering and they are amazing figures. So maybe someday they'll branch out to some other tokus like Toei's various metal heroes and Sentai too. Also, my oretoku/daretoku figures finally arrived(Deadpool finally got his moped!). Love the new detailing these versions have. It's a slow process of painting them to decide on the colors, but the first finished one I'm really happy with. Will post pics of it later. |

Where do you guys get your Shodo figures? I know of one comic shop that carries them sometimes, but they are hit and miss. If they were readily available, I would pick them up consistently. At the same time, I don’t want to order ‘em by the case.

Sometimes I'll use ebay, but that varies. And again I stick to particular sellers and try to balance the cost to what it should be per figure so I'm not paying too much. Even for popular characters that sell fast, they still stay reasonable as opposed to the ebay prices you'll sometimes see. Can range from under 5 usd per shodo to at max 10usd. Don't think I've ever paid more than 10 USD per figure, usually much much less. Sometimes as low as 4usd per figure. I like Rakuten overall. Been getting absolutely much better prices there than I ever did from ebay sellers or even HLJ or amiami. And if you find a seller you like, stick with them, some of the really good shops on it have FB and IG pages that update with the new stock they get in. The reward points system is really nice too. Honestly, I find it far easier and cheaper to just buy the cases from AmiAmi and sell off the extras.
A case of Wave 8 on AmiAmi is about $36 USD (3980 Yen). A complete set (no extras) of Wave 8 on Rakuten totals at about $65 (maybe closer to $50 if you find good prices on the shortpacked ones). If you want to cherry pick the line for 1 or 2, places like Rakuten and Mandarake can be helpful there, but otherwise cases are just the cheaper option. |

Like one seller has half of series 7 for 12usd total, and even piecing the rest together, it's still under 30 with only Doras as the pricey one at 12usd. Though bundled in the mid after release timing, you can usually find them for decently under 30. Right at release and you'll see markup from hype. Though some also use that time for the best deals too since they do early bird specials, plus with reward points you can get a nice discount sometimes too. But some sellers on Rakuten are some heavy markups like ebay has. Gotta watch out for those. I'd list my faves to use, but I like them having stock when I order stuff. xD But it's obvious to figure out if you scroll up to my other links from a rakuten seller. That one's prices are nearly always reasonable and usually always well stocked. |

Yeah, I get the complete case from AmiAmi also, thinking I'll sell off the extras, but being too lazy to actually sell off the extras.
