Yeah, Hasbro admitted they FUBAR'd the Wave 1 Punisher figure, so I'm sure it'll probably end up valuable or sought after later, despite the silly head. However, saw a tonne of these guys just warming pegs at my local TRU, so who knows? If you're a completionist, he'll be tough to get later.

Sure.
Here's the cover art for the issue: http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/1...uper_super.jpg Sideshow Toys did up a nice 12" of him (with several pics), but he has the toothy Venom head: Sideshow Collectibles, Inc. - Marvel / Venom as the Punisher RAH 12-inch Figure Here is a pic of him with the Spider-Man styled head: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/105/2...9bf7b9.jpg?v=0 Thanks TS, that last pic looks sweet. I might give it a shot. Although funny enough I made this (sort of) as I came into a mess of cheap Marvel SHS Punisher and Black Spidey figs. I basically made two sort of lazy versions. The first was the Black Spidey head on the Punisher body. the second was the Spider Upper torso and head on the lower Punisher body with Punisher Arms. Both look pretty frickin' sweet and neither took paint at all (although I did use a little flat black later on the second version to square off the eye things on Spidey mask.

Looking at some of the other MU pics it occurs to me they may be using that Punisher v.1 mold again for Blade (who IMHO needs a Snipes head instead of that weird biker thing).

Wow. I really had to figure out what the FF stood for in MUFF. Because my mind wandered off into naughty thoughts. hehe.
Yeah, that version is my favorite. Good luck with the custom and be sure to post pics here in our Customs forum!

And that Ms. Marvel actually is not a variant. It's considered a separate figure by Hasbro (i.e. it will have its own number). |

I like the way that Hasbro is handling alternate versions of characters in this line. If Stealth Ops Iron Man, grey Hulk, and Nova Storm Torch were all chase figures, I most likely would have never found them, and that would have sucked.

Well it's to see that I'm not the only one buying the Punisher just so that my collection is complete. But, in all honestly he's not that bad

I might pick up Doom if he comes out in a future wave, but otherwise, I maxed out on Marvel with the ML's. The nice thing, though, is that at least there is an attempt being made to bring back the mini action figure size in the super hero arena, as I think between ML's and DC Direct, the size (and accompanying prices) tend to become bothersome in terms of collecting, room for display, and general cash flow.

Those look pretty good. Not sure if I'll actually buy them but Punisher and Iron Man look pretty good.

On the topic of Punisher-Venom, the latest volume of War Journal had Frank don a synthetic symbiote suit so that he could fight off some of the super-strong aliens running wild during World War Hulk. I don't have an image of that, unfortunately, just throwing it out there. It was also a ridiculous story and I hated it, but that's another discussion entirely.
I still don't like that head, and I don't really want to pay $8.99 for Punisher at Kmart. I imagine the price is why the Marvel Universe and X-Men Origins pegs are almost entirely untouched (including Deadpool!). But, I might waver if he sticks around for a while longer.

The definitive Punisher for me would have a removable trench coat, tons of guns and various other weapons, and of course, HIS VAN with even MORE WEAPONRY! |

Then this line hits, we find out that Animated is running through 09 and there are some ROTF toys I actually like. I think my wallet just called me a slut.

so red hulk is wave 4. I saw him about a month ago at a super walmart. I wasn't collecting these guys then and didn't know about it. I thought it was just a variant and only paused for a second before grabbing the tf figure I wanted. so when is wave 4 supposed to hit?
