I just might have to "bite" on this Lobo. Never saw the previous BAF Lobo wave from stores.

So judging by the packaging, Lobo is the standard 7" tall like other figures?

Thank goodness, his vest actually says "BITE ME FANBOY." I'm 100% sold.
How sure how I feel about the blue shading in his hair, but whatever. Otherwise Lobo's great. The Mattel Lobo BAF was pretty decent. This one is much, MUCH better, however. |

If he was that big, wouldn't he fall under their deluxe line at the higher price point, like the Snyder Cut Steppenwolf and Darkseid figures? Instead, he's at the regular $19.99 price and appears to be in the same regular sized packaging as other 7" figures. As the other poster mentioned, at best he's probably 7.5" tall which is disappointingly underscaled in my opinion. I guess it's ok compared to Mattel's 6" figures, but for the McFarlane scale he definitely should be 8-9" as you said.

I actually like both of these. I hope a classic super boy in leather jacket is on the horizon.

Why do Superboy's metal armor bits look so cheap and plasticy compared to what McF usually puts out?

I really want to commend Mcfarlane on this Lobo. Looks great and like the character? Check. Well articulated? Check. Not a complete pain in the ass to get? Double check. It's nice to get a figure of Lobo this good at mass retail instead of as some exclusive or a Build a figure from a wave that didn't get wide distribution.

A wave based around Reign of the Supermen would be cool. Superboy, Steel, Eradicator, Cyborg Superman, and Superman rocking the mullet and black suit. Doomsday or Mongol could be the BAF.

His size looks like it's about right for Rebirth Lobo. In the No Justice story and when he was in JLA Lobo was only a bit taller than Batman.

^That dude needs to clean his ears...nasty mofo.
Also...Supes WAS rockin' a mullet circa the 80's. So were these clownish jamokes: https://www.menshealth.com/grooming/...brity-mullets/ Except for ScarJo and Rihanna; because they are cuties regardless of how they wear their hair. Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 08-18-2021 at 04:46 PM.. |

Idk... at least the Lobo is only $20... but I feel sorry for the folks who skipped the Storm Collectibles Lobo... the definitive Lobo. Cant imagine a better Lobo figure ever being made.

No one is defending jheri curls over here. That said, I fail to see the point you're trying to make as they weren't even a part of this dialogue.
Unless, of course, you felt slighted and compelled to awkwardly work in a culturally specific jab in response to a comment that you may have mistakenly perceived as being as much. If that is the case, it wasn't. Mullets (and jheri curls) are a pretty much universally panned as fad stylings better left in the past. However, I still like mullet-Supes ...just call it what it is (lookin' at you Nite ). Anywho. Nice to meet you, Augustus... |

^I see whut you did...You will always be "NiteLife" to me.
If DTL ever comes back, I will also refer to him only as ToyLord. Also, Charlie Murphy had both a jheri curl and a mullet, which happens! Well, it was known as a "shag" in the 'shop... |

So disappointed that Superboy Prime has the most bland, dull expression ever.
He should have an evil, twisted, angry look even, not a "ho-hum, just another day" expression. Although I suspect knowing McFarlane an evil headsculpt will come out as a variant. |
