![]() Batman Beyond Street Date: Officially 2021-07-07 MSRP: $20 Price I Paid: $20 Scale: 7-inch (or 1/10) He's basically sold out everywhere...except for BBTS. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Produ...Details/152470 Inque as Batman Beyond Street Date: 2022-02-23 MSRP: $20 Price I Paid: $16 Scale: 7-inch (or 1/10) MSRP is $20, but Walmart.com has her for $15.88 right now. https://www.walmart.com/ip/DC-Multiv...re-7/706975832 ---------- McFarlane Toys has released three Batman Beyond action figures, all of them extremely similar. The first one was part of a Target Exclusive Jokerbot Build-a-Figure (BAF) wave. That one had a fully covered mouth area. The subsequent retail-wide release included a head with a visible mouth, a different kind of batarang, and jet flames for the feet. The third one is called "Inque as Batman Beyond", which is a re-paint of the second version and loses the jet flames. The first figure had a simple base stand, but the second and third versions have flight stands. ![]() The retail-wide figure had a rare "Digital Virus" variant. ![]() "Inque as Batman Beyond" was previously a stealth exclusive at Target. Unannounced, it appeared in shippers during Fall of 2021. Internet re-sellers bought many of these and tried to flip them for a profit, but I saw some in stores through as late as December 2021. McFarlane kept quiet about it until it was announced as a retail-wide product for 2022. There are a few differences between the Target and retail-wide versions, notably the fully enclosed and reinforced hole at the top of the Target release and the different lot numbers above the barcode. Although we're used to the $20 price point for these figures, I think Walmart's $15.88 price is ideal since Inque is a simple re-paint with fewer accessories (no jet flames). Left: Target, Right: Retail-Wide ![]() Top: Target, Bottom: Retail-Wide ![]() In both figures' plastic trays, there's one main plastic tie around the torso. The wings fit through slots in the plastic trays so that the figures aren't pressed against them. Both figures come with two pairs of hands ("creepy" claw-like fingers and "trigger finger" alternates). Both have the bat-shaped batarang rather than the circular ones seen in the TV series. Batman Beyond has jet flames that can be attached to his feet. Both have information cards and flight stands, even though Inque can't fly. If the neck were straight, the figure would easily be 7.25-inches tall. In terms of articulation, you can rotate the heads and upper torsos 360 degrees. The figure can do deeper leg splits than Batwoman Beyond. The wings have slits in them so that you can attach them to pegs in the arms, though this design choice wasn't really necessary. The swivels for the wings are tight enough so that the wings don't fall down once they're in an "open" position. McFarlane should've made the wings removable pieces so that people can create dynamic poses. Unless you actually wanted to assemble the Jokerbot, I think the retail-wide Batman Beyond is the best of the three choices because of the flight stand and jet flames. I prefer the bat-shaped batarang over the circular style one, but you can look on eBay if you really want to have the circular batarang without paying high prices for the BAF version. If you don't consider "Inque as Batman Beyond" to be an actual Inque figure, just pretend it's another version of Terry McGinnis or maybe Luke Fox as Batwing. Areas of concern: -- The flight stand included with Inque should've been saved for Unmasked Batwoman Beyond instead. -- The wings should've been designed to be easily removable, not requiring hot water or a blow dryer.
