Street Date: Officially 2021-11-10
MSRP: $20
Price I Paid: $20
Scale: 7-inch (or 1/10)

Batman was the last figure of the Three Jokers wave to be made available. A few copies trickled into Walmart stores throughout January. Amazon started shipping him last week, and Target shipped him this week.

----------

In the plastic tray, there's one main plastic tie around Batman's torso. The cape fits through a slot in the plastic tray so that it's tucked behind the tray rather than underneath the figure. The figure stands around 7.25-inches tall (to the top of the head, not the Batears).

In addition to an information card and a base stand, Batman comes with one accessory, a grapnel being fired. The grapnel is different from the one included with Batgirl, though both are so big that honestly they look better in Batman's hands than hers.

This Batman shares several parts with the "Year Two" bright blue Batman that's a Target Exclusive in the US. ("Year Two" Batman is the one that comes with a large plastic cape and a regular sized cloth cape. It's also the one with a lot of broken arms if you look on social media sites.) However, I think the parts that are unique to this figure are good enough to make this the "classic" Batman to satisfy people who stopped reading comics after Flashpoint. I wouldn't be surprised if McFarlane re-painted this in dark blue to use as Hush Batman, and maybe they can even release a variant with light-up chest symbol like in the Three Jokers miniseries/graphic novel.

This Batman is a bit different from other McFarlane DC figures. The head and neck are one solid piece. (Mine arrived with a lot of oil to help with movement.) The cape is also a very soft plastic/rubber, which really helps with the figure's overall flexibility. The copyright/trademark information is printed in white on the cape's inside. You won't see it under most circumstances, but I was still surprised to find printed text there.

I thought the boots/feet were re-used from the Flashpoint Thomas Wayne Batman, but they're actually new pieces (just similar in design).

In terms of articulation, this Batman is surprisingly spry. The head/neck can tilt a fair amount up and down. You can rotate the neck and upper torso 360 degrees.

The shoulders are slightly limited by the cape, but otherwise you can pose this Batman in ways that aren't possible with previous McFarlane Batmans. It really helps that the cape is soft enough to get out of the way!

Areas of concern:
-- The gauntlet fins are long and made of hard plastic, so it's gonna be easy for people to break them accidentally.
-- Paint might be sloppy on the chest symbol.
-- If you push the head/neck piece back far enough, you'll see a gaping hole in the throat area.
-- The main/rear part of the feet have a little too much plastic on the outer edges, so the soles of the feet aren't flush.

Walmart stores are stocking Three Jokers Batman. However, check the chest symbol for QC issues.
