Street Date: Officially 2021-11-10 MSRP: $20 Price I Paid: $20 Scale: 7-inch (or 1/10) McFarlane's Three Jokers action figures were supposed to have been available before Thanksgiving, but distribution has been spotty due to COVID-19 pandemic-related delays. Batgirl, The Clown Joker, The Criminal Joker, and even Red Hood started appearing in Target brick-and-mortar stores right before Christmas. Amazon started shipping some of these as of last week, and Target.com is shipping some of these starting this week. ---------- My online order for Three Jokers Batman should finally arrive sometime this week, so I decided to post reviews of all the other characters in anticipation of his delivery. In the miniseries/graphic novel The Three Jokers by Geoff Johns and Jason Fabok, The Criminal is the oldest Joker in terms of age. Fabok's artwork depicts him as the Joker who fought Batman and Dick Grayson Robin in the early days, before writers started giving the character potential backstories. (However, Johns's story appears to make The Comedian the "first" Joker who created the other two.) In the plastic tray, there's one main plastic tie around The Criminal's torso. In addition to an information card and a base stand, The Criminal comes with one accessory, a cane. The cane has a letter "J" carved on the top of the handle. The figure's overall height is about 7.25-inches tall. The Criminal and The Clown share a lot of parts. To the best of my knowledge, everything is the same except for the head, the soft plastic suit jacket, and the right hand. The right hand could be the same parts, but on my copy of The Criminal, the middle, ring, and pinky fingers are much closer to the palm than on The Clown's right hand. The Criminal has more mobility than The Comedian but slightly less than The Clown since the suit jacket completely encloses the torso. The suit jacket and the diaper are made of a very soft material; the diaper even seems a tad big and loose after you remove the suit jacket. The head and the upper torso each rotate 360 degrees. Unfortunately, the arms are sculpted/designed in such a way that they are not able to be pressed flush against the body, even with the suit jacket removed. Although this figure's right hand has a trigger finger, the other fingers are so close to the palm that I couldn't fit either the cane or any of the spare guns that I have. The left hand is basically an open palm, so it can't really hold anything either. I can squeeze a crowbar into the right hand, though, so that's probably how I'll display him. I don't really like the cane anyway as it's made of a soft material that looks like it'll warp easily. After opening and comparing all three Jokers, I was pleasantly surprised to see how different they look despite having so many shared parts. Areas of concern: -- There's a loose strand of hair just above the left temple, so be careful when twisting and turning the head.
