I don't remember any rumors for a Batman and Robin wave. Honestly, I think a lot of people would be into figures from BF and B&R. When Hot Toys solicited their Robin from Batman Forever, the online reaction was "You know what..... I actually want that." Despite the hate for the movies, I think if McFarlane gave us figures of the main looks for each character, I think people would buy them.
I'd be down for an Uma Thurman Poison Ivy, so long as it's the first costume she wore in the movie. I would love a Batman and Robin wave, just skip the bat nipples tho |

Seriously, I've never seen a toy line sputter through it's first two years of existence the way classified has. Hasbro started the Power Rangers Lightning Collection a year before Classified and it's been fairly consistent with releasing new figures. And yet, the GI Joe team just can't seem to figure it out.

Here's what I appreciate about McFarlane…
These are releases for this year, by company, that I've gotten in hand. Hasbro (G.I. Joe Classified): 2 Diamond Select: 3 Mafex: 3 Super7: 7 Mattel (Origins & Masterverse): 20 NECA: 20 McFarlane: 107 This is release count, not figure count, so 2 packs, 4 packs, etc are 1. Kind of eye-opening how very little G.I. Joe Classified stuff has actually come out. |

Hasbro started the Power Rangers Lightning Collection a year before Classified and it's been fairly consistent with releasing new figures. And yet, the GI Joe team just can't seem to figure it out. The only thing I would knock McFarlane for would be the Year 2 Batman fiasco. Broken figures AND completely missing the release date by 4(?) months. GI Joe is going to be weird. It's got a good deal of figures but when they come out "?". Add on that it's basically built for army building. It's so strange. Lightning Collection.............we'd just like figures to be announced. Also the Trex Sentry to actually be released in the US. Due out in October/November. Been released all the other countries. Not a peep from Hasbro on this figure. Hasbro really doesn't want to talk about this line that they actually own. Star Wars Black - You'd think was less popular then He-man. I sorta wonder what Hasbro thinks about the brand. Mcfarlane I think has been a bit more conservative. They've been releasing figures in spurts. You have the waves and then you got one or two figures that pop up every two months. So it always feels like something is coming out. Maybe it's not a normal Wonder Woman but probably a weird Batman but it's something. They also I think announce figures really close to those releases which helps it feel like they are getting merch out quicker. But we've gotten leaked lists for like the next 6 month to year. It's the same timetable but Mcfarlane if anything is the best at announcing figures in an ideal timeframe. Now if they'd work on fixing their articulation system and making it consistent. With the upcoming Red Hood, we've seen the first figure to use peg hands with an horizonal swivel(though the trigger hands should be vertical...but baby steps). Also standard matching sets of hands. We just need a whole lot of elements to combine to have an ideal figure that combines industry standards for the last decade with the more unique sculpts Mcfarlane does. |

I meant to post this several days ago but I fixed the arms on the Hush Batman. I hate the glove design McFarlane chose for the running change so I went with a more traditional glove edge.

So I'm still waiting on my burger...........
For Tim's first outing with Mcfarlane, they did pretty well. I hope they don't deviate too far from this for a proper Robin Tim. |

Facebook user Tokyo Station posted an image of some new figures. It's a group shot but among the figures are the Gold Label Lex in Superman armor, Arkham City Infected Joker, regular Arkham Knight Scarecrow, and regular Arkham Knight Red Hood.

Red Hood is now sitting at 6 figures if we don't count Arkham Knight. Four unique Red Hood's when you nix variants. I think the character can take a break for a minute. Given Robin and Nightwing a chance.

In the last week, I picked up the McFarlane Riddler statue and the unmasked Pattison Batman on deep clearance. They should make for some fun reviews, but I also hope that Target looking to make space means that Blackest Night is on the way soon.

All I care about is Female DC figures and I highly doubt any will be shown at this showcase.
