Really nice photos.
I was one of those guys that was asking from Mezco on their social media 1 and half years ago to make a wolverine cause it would look so badass. I do not know how they managed to make something look so awkward. IMO so many things look bad (Diaper, diaper, diaper, teeth, diaper, arrows (???) on the side of the diaper, shoulder pauldrons, glove pouche(???), too many buckles on the boots, he is too thin, something pulls me off with all HS, he cant do the classic pose) with this & the yellow stripe version except the sculpted bodyhair details and the claws. I do not know what they tried to do (mush up of comic version x real life version x MCU kinda face with x own version) . If i was them i would have gone the Jim Lee - Tony route but with a bulkier body mold. Anyway, i got the tiger stripe, i have pre ordered OLM (mego 100%) and the xforce version, just for collection purposes. I expected far more, when i see Punisher, DS, Tactical batfleck or I.M and i see this, i cant believe it's the same company. Last edited by Demonic Poo; 02-01-2018 at 01:48 AM.. Man, kinda surprised to see these comments, I love this figure. I've gotten a bunch of the One:12 offerings from Mezco, all the Dark Knight figures, all the Star Trek figures and a bunch of Marvel (DD and Punisher still are their best work I think) but this Wolverine is bad ass. Wish I could have gotten the Blue/Yellow Tiger Stripe variant but I grew up with Brown/Yellow Wolvie so I prefer this look. And I like that liberties Mezco takes usually, a bit of a blend of the source material mixed with real life or their own style. The only thing that I don't really care for on this release is the boots, they have laces in the front and buckles in the back, they should have just picked one, and I'd like an X on the belt. Other than that, it's one of the best wolverine figures I have. The claws alone are easily the best done in this scale. I grabbed this and the Superman Red Son the same day, freaking awesome figures.

A very strange, if not poor rendering of a character I never really cared for anyhow, no matter what costume he's sporting. (Although I did prefer the tiger-stripe version, and personally find Brown an underwhelming color choice to include on a superhero's uniform.)
I have other Mezco figures on my shelves, but when these 1:12 figures appeared I made a decision NOT to collect this line, and I'm glad I did. I admit I was initially tempted, but cloth at this scale doesn't work well in my eyes. The same goes for pleather. (Yeah, Wolfy's trunks get too baggy.) Of course, when DCUC figures came out, I decided not to collect them, either. I didn't like the musculature of the biceps and thought their feet were too big. I must have changed my mind, as I'm sure I have at least 100 of them now. And I may wind up getting that upcoming One:12 Iron Man, since he actually looks like the silver age character (unlike their renditions of Captain America), and not some lame silver screen redesign. |

This is how it should be. As i have said, this is how Tony did it and although it's simple, it's ideal. Mezco guys seem to forget that what brought us to their 1:12 line was their DKR Batman, which was simple without straps, whistles & stuff but it was legendary.
I am also 100% sure that it would have been cheaper for them in production terms. A buffier body (arms, shoulders, legs) and that design and you got urself an iconic action figure. |
