Um... I think he put too many zeroes in the price...
Either that or he is the biggest retard on the face of the Earth.

If you didn't notice that those are bids (51 as of this writing) that brought the price to that, and not a BIN price. The starting price was $10.

Now the Puck wave actually made it to retail right? Wasn't it a Diamond exclusive? I'm assuming Rogue wasn't part of that wave... who originally came with the torso?

That wave made it to just comic shops and online stores. Don't think TRU, Walmart, or Target carried them. There were 2 planned swaps that didn't make it which were this Rogue and a Phoenix Five Cyclops. Most of the Rogue body is the 2 Pack Black Widow type.

Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if that seller has someone upping the price for him. I really hate the fact that you can't see the bidders on items now unless you are the seller of that item.

As for the bidding, there may be some shill bids in there. It's probably likely. No real way to tell unless it's relisted after the auction ends.

If i had the money to burn, i would totally burn it on this. Im surprised it even exists like this. Usually when a figure is cancelled, its cancelled way before the figure makes it to the final stages, But it seems hasbro has a habit of cancelling these variants after theyve already been made. Which BEGS the question, if this one, fully packaged and ready to sell, exists, how many more do? And why do they keep cancelling at such a late stage anyway? Get hasbro on the phone!

People go nuts for figures they want, especially if it was hard to find or cancelled.

You brought up a very good point though. Why is Hasbro cancelling (or placing into limbo) the production of these figs? Obviously, many people want that Rogue. Just as many want the numerous other cancellations such as Moonstar, Blade (cancelled?), and the Bi Beast I mentioned...that's just a few. The fact that this Rogue, if this auction's authenticity is to be believed, reached a packaging stage demonstrates their resolve to roll it out. Why halt the process? They know we want it and they have apparently completed their work. It's all pretty strange, but I guess stranger things have occurred. I personally believe, as others have suggested, that this Rogue is about to be released. That would be my only cautionary advice to potential bidders. That's a big wad of cash to blow if this thing ends up at retail in a few months to a year... |

Many individuals outside of 'collecting circles' view paying anything north of $20 for a toy action-figure with a certain level of incredulity...in some cases, its even viewed with disdain. Considering that I'm a figure collector, I can understand the price tag for Rogue. Its out of my range in the way of disposable income, but as you said, if I had it to burn I'd go for it. I wish I had coughed up the $500 to buy a cancelled Hasbro Bi-Beast when I had the chance. Now I live with the regret that I limited myself and don't possess a fig I really want, and I blew an opportunity to make an investment in a fig that sells for what this Rogue is going for.

@Exodus
Sure, Joe Moore posted something on it years ago: Rare Marvel Prototypes and Cancelled Figures, March 22, 2011 6:26 am (it was actually this post, which came up in a google search, that initially drew me to your site ) There was a Bi-Beast, Red-King, and Annihilus all of which I had watched on eBay at some point. I wanted most the Bi-Beast, however that Red King was very cool (looks cooler than the pic I posted). |

Perhaps they were cacelled due to something wrong with the figs like they're not able to sell well or isn't "child" appropriate? Not sure...Just speculating, maybe bi beast was too freakish, and this rogue due to her "X" on them cheechees. Just speculating, really dig bi beast thoughh
