This is a small point but it looks like the packaging for the 3 3/4-inch Red Skull says "Cinematic Universe." I guess that's the new name for Movie Series? The other two figures don't specify, so I guess it's assumed they're Concept Series?

It's possible that Cap gets a replacement/substitute at some point in the film. The trailer shows WS catching the regular shield when Steve throws it at him, but it doesn't show what Bucky does with it after that.

Me too. My guess is it's a temporary replacement because WS steals his real one.

If you look at the movie stills, the blue shield appears to just be his regular shield with the red scratched off, revealing the metallic blue underneath. See attached.

But wasn't the prototype that Howard Stark showed Steve a dull silver (and not two-toned)? Of course, it's been a couple years since I watched CA:TFA, so I might be mis-remembering. The toys could simply be just an artist's interpretation of that image.

apperently the shield is meant to be more for S.H.I.E.L.D as in like stealthy or something or perhaps to match his new uniform I'm guessing it wont be the finale shield I kinda hope not.

The scratched up shield in the picture looks silver not blue. At least to me it does.

Somekind of explanation was given in the extended trailer that was attached to the IMAX version of Thor: The Dark World.
In the trailer, after a battle on a bridge, Bucky picks up the shield from the floor, it's suggested that fire from an explotion erased the colors from the shield. |
