Okay, we already know about the Walmart Exclusive Gold Label 12-inch Batman PVC statue, which is called "Version 1". It's based on the "red lights" artwork that Jim Lee drew.

Now there's a Version 2, which presumably does not have the "red lights" effect.

https://ddc-ppp.com/BATMAN-VERSION-2...e-_p_1273.html

Also, 12-inch Riddler statue: https://ddc-ppp.com/RIDDLER--12-INCH...e-_p_1274.html

Batman Unmasked: https://ddc-ppp.com/BATMAN-UNMASKED-...e-_p_1270.html

The listing says "Catwoman Masked", but I think they meant Unmasked version: https://ddc-ppp.com/CATWOMAN-MASKED-...e-_p_1271.html

Penguin (we've already seen the leaked photos): https://ddc-ppp.com/PENGUIN--THE-BAT...e-_p_1268.html

You know BarbaraGordon, if they have not asked you to be an admin, you really should be. Despite only joining us in Dec 2021, you've been very active on the boards. You've done a great job keeping everyone up to date on the McFarlane new releases and composed some valuable Master Lists so everyone can keep tab of their McFarlane collections. You probably started more posts in the past few weeks than the admins, you might as well do it officially.

So what's the process, is there a place to nominate someone to be an admin? I don't know how this works.

To be clear, we are aware of BarbaraGordon's awesome work here so far, it's much appreciated personally as a fan and as a site Admin. I've tried to let it be known as we speak in PMs occasionally too.

@BarbaraGordon - you can hit me via PM if you want to talk about this further.

RE: The Batman stuff above - I think masked/unmasked are coming for everyone that it can be, just the way it is right now. See: Suicide Squad.

Maybe some of these characters are developing Dupuytren's contracture, like actor Bill Nighy.

It's 2022- why is McFarlane still so bad at crafting likenesses of actual people?

Also- why is The Riddler about to scrape ice off of someone's windshield?

What are they all looking at? This side-eye business has gotten out of hand Todd...

Also...the Penguin comes with not an umbrella, but a finger gun...he's gotta be purposely trolling Warner Brothers at this point, right?

I'm so sick and tired of comic book movie characters looking like trailer park cosplay participants. It fucking sucks.

So much for realistic costumes, Catwoman's seems as impractical as the Arkham City version with that weird outer thong piece...

Realistic doesn't discount being stylish.
Mind you I'm not fond of the body sculpt Mcfarlane has done.

As long as it functionally works. But I feel an actual burglar wouldn't try to look like one.

Personally after Zack Snyders take on Batman, I see no reason why we can't have both. In real life people add style to things all the time. From regular folk to militaries.

Seriously! These are god-awful and yeah, lol, that's exactly what Riddler looks like he's about to do. Hilarious hahaha.

Something I notice about head sculpts.

They don't seem symmetrical. I feel like a lot of faces droop to one side even when it's not side eye. So the faces feel wonkier with a weaker overall sculpt. Like someone got all their teeth pulled on one side.

Also........please stop doing side eye.

Then the sculpt seems a bit shallow. There's no much detail in the body but for the face there's a minimal amount.

I feel if they can't go lifelike then they need to get stylized. Hasbro tends to do this with non MCU figures.

But then......the recent Superman and Wonder Woman figures have fine head sculpts. John Stewart looks good. So I don't understand why for real people they pull back on the sculpt.

I just realized if you try to re-enact this scene with your figures:

The figures would be looking over each others' shoulders. Ha ha.
