Can't put my finger on it, but they've got this generic look going on, they look like some start-up company's new toy line. These have somehow turned classic pop culture designs into vanilla trash, may as well have covered these in faddish tattoos to fully cement the bland homogeneous aesthetic.

I'll probably get just He-Man and Battle Cat. I wonder if they will introduce She-Ra in the series? That would be cool but then again they have they gay version of She-Ra on Netflix so meh.

The figures look decent can use some paint shading though

I'm glad that in the end these actually came out looking pretty cool. Especially Moss man. Though I'm not really sure about Evil-lyn. I'm Katy Perry on that design. I feel like the helmet doesn't make sense with the rest of her outfit but using the helmetless head takes away the one element that actually reads as Evil-lyn.

Liking the look of these. Skeletor's grin doesn't look too serious, can still picture Oppenheimer doing the voice (though it does looks semi-translucent). Definitely in on these as long as there is no really hard to get SDCC 2021 comic-con set. I talked myself out of Origins all together because I couldn't get the SDCC 2019 set.

Think they are a no for me. Something in the proportion does not seem to match the pics from the animation they showed today.
Plus He Man's face... dunno, looks like the guy the offers free candy to children in a black van... |

Looks like I might be starting a new line of figures soon...

Not sure if it was mentioned, but all the figs are using pinless tech on the knees and elbows too. That's a good start to the new line.
As for these specific figures, will wait till in hand to make any judgements. |

There's no callout to it but maybe Skeletor's face glows in the dark. That or just plastic that isn't opaque enough.

I'm wondering the size of him. If he is close to the origins size I'm totally not going to collect any more origins cats. No ankle articulation. No bueno. |

[QUOTE=firmpulse;869232]What pulls you into these more so than the Master Of The Universe Classics line? (serious question)
As awesome as classics was for its time(no ankle rocker? Seriously?) it is far from friendly for those who werent in from the very beginning. |

That Battle Cat looks like it could be the best version of him. 30 points of articulation and 14" long. I will probably grab him as a mount for other lines.

I loved watching that. The rotons, skelecons, Stridor, Scareglow vs. Orko, bashasaurus, Clamp Champ. All to the tune of I Need A Hero. It was beautiful and awesome.

I think this looks dope. The designs have a nice mix of classic and 200X, and that song was a great choice.

I like the line up of Wave 2.
Has there been any word on whether or not the Masterverse line will feature classic versions of characters? The new design for Teela looks nice and I'm guessing that will be the look of the Wave 2 figure. But I also really liked her classic look in the trailer. |

Teela got the She-Ra treatment I see. Oh well.
She's the only redesign that is a total dud. I'm not fond of Evil-Lyn's second look, but it's not terrible. |

I believe Mattel stated that Masterverse would encompass figures from "representing the rich history of Masters of The Universe" or something like that. But I cannot find the interview. |

Like all lines, if it's successful, they will almost certainly make classic looks because those tend to sell very well once a line is established. |

Damn, Teela looks awesome. Hopefully they make her in that look.

This was posted at TNI a week or so back. But really it could mean that Oolar (if that's even who this is) will make an appearance in Revelations.

It is interesting how Faker, being a key character, is not even in the Wave 2.
Wondering if he will be a Walmart exclusive. |
