My last two of three X-23s for a good while now. Hopefully hasbro will give us an official X-force one and New X-Men one soon.
X-Force X-23 Recipe: GI Joe ROC Reactive Armor Scarlet Legs and Arms. XMO Weapon X Hands with middle claws cut out Snake Eyes Feet with middle claws cut in with a metal rod inserted to hold them in place. (The secret to this is thumb tacks and wire cutters. Cut a slot for the claw. Insert the tack into a foot half, then the claw, then the other foot half, then cut the sharp end off. Pull it back a shade to cut the tack head off, then use a screw driver to place it back to flush.) Ms. Marvel Body Ms. Marvel Classic head, with the hair trimmed. GI Joe 25th Annie Wraith TRU Exclusive Big Brawl Wolverine Cowboy Hat for removable Accessory. For some reason I like the slightly shorter hair for this over resculpting or cutting new hair to go to her shoulders. And I chose the ROC Scarlet arms for the range of motion and to keep all the claw hands compatible to each other. It oddly worked far better than I planned with the way those arms are set up. Perfect gloves and upper shoulder pads at least for a custom without using various new sculpt pieces or other bash fodder. As for the remains of the torso... Well I didn't have a vice grip handy since it apparently went missing. I don't know how something that big and heavy could vanish either, but since I had no plans for that body to be reused ever, I used a very sharp chisel and hammer. The lower Torso remains are being used to keep the New X-Men X-23 legs from being lost till I figure out what to do for her arm gauntlets or body(which with my luck will be a sanded down version of this scarlet too). No pinstriping either, and I deliberately left the X off the outfit. One, because the X-Force Wolverine doesn't have one, two because they are a stealth team that aren't supposed to advertise they are X-Men, and three because I may add them later when warpath is out since I can take it from his belt. The wraith belt offers a flat square front piece that's easy enough to mount one on later if I choose. =) She also needs her silver touched up just a shade, but it's nothing drastic or a change at all really, so she's still considered 'finished'. Also might redo the head in the new fleshtone, since I'm not sure currently if Laura wears lipstick anyway. So that just seems off besides being ever so slightly darker. X-Force Domino Recipe: GI Joe ROC Agent Helix Just a basic repainted figure, no trimming or nothing. Just added black to the yellow spots, changed the skin tones to white, made the arms a solid black, and voila! Target X: X-23 (with artistic liberties since technicly she's my 5th one.) Recipe: GI Joe ROC Scarlet base figure. XMO Wolverine Movie Version Hands. GI Joe ROC Scarlet Head and Hair Trimmed and sanded. (I swear, Scarlet's body just begs to be used for too many things. Interpret that as you will.) GI Joe ROC Reactive Suit Duke Belt Trimmed Since Nearly all my X-23 figures use the same arms. All hands are interchangeable. But since Target X (The Second X-23 Comic Mini-series) is her 'plainclothes version.' Well sorta. I made it the clawless one. I can always switch hands with any other X-23 I've done though. Which will probably happen when the Ashiko Motorcycle is released to update Enrapture to the mk II, but that can wait since I have to recut the chest armor from Ashiko to her anyway. I gave her purple shoulder pads so the target X version has taken some creative liberties, to be a cross between plainclothes and a new Maskless costume paying homage to wolverine's various costumes with them. Like the Brown Suit/Pryde of the X-Men, X-force Suit, X-men Evo Suit, or even the two Daken Suits(dark avengers, and dark X-men). As such, instead of sanding the shoulders down, I went ahead and added it to the purple shirt for a more body armor type feel as opposed to the tank top spaghetti straps. The Eye Brows are black, but may need some touch up according to the photos. Though they look solid black in hand. Group Shot of my 4 still standing X-23s and Domino. Still standing, because the other 2, Evo and jacketed version, were both reused for these two newest since I wasn't happy with them, the evo one is simple enough to remake though. Next Planned Customs: Black Cat, Iron Patriot, Daken and New X-Men X-23 (the final X-23!) Finished Customs: Stark's Armory (Pics coming soon as I get the GBP IM Armor), X-Men Evolution X-23, Enrapture X-23, Anime X-23, Dark Avenger Ms. Marvel, Initiative War Machine (with swappable Rhodes Head will be seen with armory).
