My figures are still smelly, although it's faded a bit. Very weird...I might have to exchange them. I hope this isn't a widespread QC issue like the wrist computer on the City Hunter.

I've had Transformers come like this in the past. On those, it was the mold release agent that was still present. I'm wondering if that's what happened here.

Also, did the smell eventually fade for you? |

Yeah, it's like a gel/goo that's used to prevent the pieces from sticking to or breaking in the molds. The odor did fade away after a few days, but I kept them out in the open and not in packaging after I wiped them down. Used a paper towel and a small bit of soap and cool water to wipe down.

Yeah, I have mine out of the box. I've wiped down the smelly areas a few times with q-tips dipped in plain water and have just been letting them air out. The smell - which reminds me of motor oil - seems to be dissipating, albeit slowly.
I'll give the stinky bits another pass with some soapy water like you suggested. Thanks. |

*sigh* I think I'm going to have to exchange these. It's been four days and they still smell.

And I thought Jungle Hunter's camo-cloak was strictly visual

I figured since I got mine yesterday I'd share here that there was a fairly strong smell fresh out of the box but for me it faded away after about an hour or two. I've experienced worse toy stenches, the Funko legacy GoT Hound was way smellier and his stink lasted for like a week. Anyway it's an awesome figure and in my opinion it is THE Predator figure fans should have in their collection.
