Nailed BOTH head sculpts. Wow. That's a feat. Those are two tough expressions. If a sculptor is lucky they get one right of the two. The sculptors at NECA....man...It's like watching a world series baseball team keep winning games and championships year after year.

Man if NECA happens to do a Back to the Future DeLorean to be able to put these figures in I will go absolutely nuts. Loving the figures though. Will probably end up getting them all if I can.

Now if only NECA could release a proper Predator 2 Mike Harrigan with this quality... then they would own this SDCC 2020 and the rest of the year for me. |

Why does Doc Brown come with a wrench? Is it just a random tool, or did a wrench play a part in some scene? I don't remember.

Yeah, most of his accessories are really strange and didn't feature prominently in the film. NECA should have instead included the mind-reading machine, the small TV set, and an alternate set of arms to make the overcoat removable.

I'd really be shocked if we DIDN'T get a Delorean in this scale since they have already shown the cartoon version for potential release. I think Randy in one of his interviews with Pixel Dan awhile back hinted that they are hoping to do the real Delorean, and maybe even a TMNT turtle van if they can make the price vs production cost work on both.

I don't think they're doing a Delorean. That would be SO expensive.

Obviously not as expensive as the Hot Toys 1/6 scale version which originally sold for $800. I'm sure many of us would be happy paying $200-300 for a 1/12 scale version, especially if it had working lights like the Hot Toys version.

Doc Brown looks great. But like others said, definitely missed opportunity with the lacking accessories. Think most would pay another $10 bucks if it came with that big helmet (Mind reading/Brain wave thing). What are the chances they make a BTF2 version and throw in an Einie? I'd go for that especially if the face sculpts are as good as this one.
Side note: Wonder if there's a cable or hook attachment on that detail on his left pant cuff? Yeah the in scale Delorean would be expensive, its not even 1/12, it would be for 1/9 or 1/10. It would cost roughly much as the Hot Toys with any level of detail. add another 150 or so for lights. Thinking around $650-700. Hot Wheels had an ultimate version (had the flipped down wheels, the hook and lights and sound) I wanted but they scrapped it and that was at 1/18 scale going for around $300 a few years ago I believe. Man, I think I might just drop off the Predator line. Been collecting for years and while I'm all for updates on the same characters being re-released for newcomers to the line, it sucks having to keep buying figures only for them to re-release a superior version of the very same character down the road. I just don't like the feeling of essentially paying to be a beta tester for these figures anymore. Last figure I'll get is the Alpha Predator and then I'm holding off.

I get that, but as someone whom had to through out his entire lost tribe due to breakage, I welcome these updates. Essentially, that’s what all toys are now. Just a better version someone else did or updated version the same company did. How many darth Vader’s can we have? How many wolverines? The last time I saw something truly new was the He-Man move figures. As perfect as the neca turtle figures are, they are just updates of the playmates movie figures. Now their toon series is new...but a different story.
