It'll probably come with a stand like the Dog Alien.

A shame they are wasting a whole wave of figures on this video game instead of doing more from the films. I was really hoping they'd do a bald Ripley from Alien 3 to go with the dog alien, but we may never get that figure now. I only speak for myself, but I have no interest in this wave. If many others feel the same and pass on it too, its poor sales could kill our chances of getting anymore figures from the Aliens franchise.

Jesus, they are going to milk that compression suit mold, aren't they? Next they will be making up some character just to use it.

I always figured something like this would happen. I get why they're doing it with this wave since supporting characters from the game probably wouldn't sell and otherwise there aren't many changes in Amanda's appearance. Overall though there are only like close to 10 xenomorphs to be made before having to crack into the comics and Kenner for new designs, meanwhile Predator 2 alone featured 10 different yautja. The Alien line is going to be more reliant on creating filler human figures to help pad things out. I'm pretty much going to zone out of it a bit until Kenner figures start getting revealed.

I don't see why they would bother with filler human characters that were not in the movies. They shelf warm. Hell, that Windex dude is still sitting on some shelves at some of my stores. One of them has 7 of him.

If more people knew the story behind that figure...they might have been more inclined to purchase him knowing they were at least donating to a good cause. |

To be fair, the Craig Windrix figure was created as a tribute to one of NECA's employees, Kyle Windrix. Craig was his real life brother, who was battling stage 4 stomach cancer. The figure was created in his honor, and I believe a proceed of sales of it went to a trust or charity in his name.

I appreciate knowing the backstory. I had no idea.
Unfortunately, tragedy only sells when it involves a character people are familiar with, in a made-up story that follows an accepted formula (e.g., the guy gets the girl, good triumphs over evil, etc.). In real life, I find that most people run from it. |

Agreed. I was just thinking that the sleeved arms look better, as the joints are a little less conspicuous.
Still, bare-armed or not, I'd love to see a figure of Pvt. Vasquez carrying her Smartgun... Last edited by Skoob; 07-06-2015 at 07:22 PM.. |

I really like the way Amanda came out...although I hope they are able to better hide that ankle articulation. It looks like she's about to kick her right sneaker at the next Xeno she sees.

It might also come with a base/stand like the Dog alien but yeah their tails are great for stabilization.

I've never played the Isolation game, but I really like these Amanda figures. Maybe it's because I have no preconception? Anyway, I want this batch.
