I'm loving hasbro's new parts library to create characters. These new molds give a wide array of possibilities with parts. I'll have pics up in a day or so. Because of the new pc, I haven't gotten everything straightened out yet that uses my memory cards. But it's legos again, but also printer work. lol |

Makes his toros reusable for a host of armored characters too. Great way to reuse it down the line besides just Iron Patriot. Could make for a good DarkHawk Torso too. especially with the head articulation,
I'm loving hasbro's new parts library to create characters. These new molds give a wide array of possibilities with parts. I see what Hasbro is doing. Creating base bodies that they can reuse over and over. But sooner or later they will have to sculpt some bodies for the odd characters like Nova Prime or Rocket Racoon. It's a great system but eventually it will bite them in the butt. Cannot wait to see what's in store down the road, like a 2 years from now. I hope we get most of the x-men out of the way so they can make room for characters like Nova, Darkhawk, and GAMORA....who's with me on that one? sexy sexy sexy.

I agree..and disagree. I love that we are getting more figures. BUT I hate that some of the upcoming figures are not as accurate.

My guess is X-23 will probably be a wave 1 2011, as X-force figures seem to always be waves 1. Or that'll be where they slot in the archangel repaint. But anyway, love these figures! Ironman's a little taller now, thor's bulky enough, and widow can do some neat poses. My extremis ironman does have some issues at the ankles though like most, and the legs not looking closed right when it has the awesome look up head is a let down. At this point if Nova came out they'd put him probably with the black spidey mold because that seems to be the new standby (as the Daredevil mold was last year). If Hasbro decided to jack up the price between 20-50 cents to assure us that most figures would get custom molds or close to, I'd be all for that because I too wish to see Nova, Darkhawk, Gamora etc etc but I have doubts that they'd do them justice and would just slap together some old parts to create them. |

BTW. Has anyone noticed that the "fans choice" Luke Cage has a GOLD card face?
I did not hear anyone mention this.

At least it is a better mold. Compared to that Daredevil mold the Spider-man mold is pure genius. I hated the Daredevil mold and almost every character looked horrible when it was used. Bullseye, fail, Reed Richards, epic fail, Vision, fail, and the list goes on and on. I think the only figure that the mold worked well for was the Shield Trooper and maybe Union Jack (though a close maybe there).

My problem with the Black Spidey mold is that it's very prone to breaking. I've had hands fall off, legs, arms.....I have three Iron Fists because I can't find a GOOD one. At least the DD mold has never broke on me. |

Funny you should mention the breaking thing. Have you noticed the DC 3.75" figures have finally starting looking better? The molds are 1000x better than the previous Giant Hand versions but I'll be damned if every single one of the doesn't break at the knee or elbow when I remove it out the package.

Yeah victims of packaging/crappy production: Warpath- hand snapped off Iron fist 1-Arm with closed fist fell off Iron Fist 2- Leg fell off Green Goblin- Leg fell off SW Cyclops- Arm fell off Maverick- Belt came undone |

The SHIELD soldier looks good because the torso is different from the rest of Daredevil. I'm confident that Winter SOldier will look good on it. The belt helps to hide the protruding hips too.

Nova would probably use the ironman body. New shoulder pieces, new chest piece. and new head.
Part reuse is fine, it's just a matter of finding the right parts for the right characters. I agree using one blank body for all would suck. But they don't seem to do that. Besides Nova prime has plating like ironman, and it would be annoying to not have that in figure form too. They can always pull a minimates with accessories too. |

Thor is probably the best figure so far...this much is true. But, man, have you seen Wave 3? ALL of them are solid....this wave is probably the only one in which I will preorder every single one of them. Still, this wave is pretty solid too. Damn you Hasbro!!!
PS- sorry Hasbro, I didn't mean that. |
