Why no AOA Mikhail? He's part of the AOA story as one of Apocalypse's Horsemen, next to Abyss, Holocaust, and Sinister.

I too would love to see figures of Avalanche, Blob and Destiny made, but I would love a new figure of classic Mystique just as much though. I never was able to find the Walgreens exclusive Mystique anywhere and she's my #2 most wanted X-Men character at the moment, behind only a new Jim Lee Cyclops without the bomber jacket and with an optic blast. The same goes for classic White Queen and Jim Lee Jean Grey that are solo releases and not part of a boxed set.

Count me in for more Brotherhood figures!! Blob Destiny and Avalanche are all over due or need a makeover. I'd like to see Mystique rereleased as well. I have her but she'd look better with Black Cats heels. All we would need then are Phantasia and Toad right?

I have a very nagging suspicion the Frightful Four are going to be seeing some more representation coming soon. Probably Wizard. I don't mean in the retro wave though I welcome that. But in the next F4 build a figure wave. Then just watch Medusa or Thundra fly on the aftermarket. I know we can't really predict what gets hot but I think it's a safe bet that if Wizard gets made one of those will be the next Thunderball. What I'm saying is Thundra is a pretty great deal at $15 right now. Just fair warning.

I don't. I've just been in a paranoid frame of mind lately. I've bought Songbird because of Citizen V and Mach IV making me worry about the Thunderbolts, Klaw for the Masters of Evil, etc. Missed the boat on Red Guardian though. So no Winter Guard for me.

One of my friends let me borrow his paperback book that contains Powers of X and House of X 1-6 and while I'm still debating if I want to read it or not, I did glance through it and there were a few things revolving around Moira that peaked my interest. I would totally be done for a Four Horsemen Moira and an Assassin Moira.

[QUOTE=TheBlueMarvel;872100]Yeah, I know what Ultron's listed as, but that's often interpreted differently by artist, era, and trends in popularity.
It's exactly George Perez' art that lays the foundation of my opinion: Here Ultron matches Thor's height, which has always represented my mind's eye visions of him. In both height and girth/thickness of limb, Ultron appears larger than the Iron Man II armor. If you go back and look at the Instagram photo I was responding to, you'll see that Ultron looks to be slightly shorter than that same version of Iron Man and about the same physical size. I am hoping it was merely an unfortunate angle. If you look at that pic that you're saying Ultron looks to be the same hgt as Thor, I think Perez has him standing on some rubble. Here's a pic of Ultron next to Mod IM, he is either gonna be slightly taller than Mod Im or the same hgt. I think he will scale very well with Mod IM. As I stated before, I go by the 6ft scale he's listed at, not the artistic license that artists tend to take with certain characters just to make them look more imposing. In this pic I posted, Ultron looks about the same build as Ironman, no bigger, no smaller. Ultron is composed of pure Adamantium, he doesn't need to look bigger/larger than any Avenger, he, along with Thanos & Count Nefaria are about the only 3 Avengers villains that can take on 5+ Avengers at the same time & win. |

We'll have to agree to disagree then as it regards my mind's eye perception of how tall and imposing Ultron should be. Especially if you are dismissing artistic interpretation in favor of official height listings. FYI - because, of course, I checked before responding the first time - the OHotMU does indeed list Ultron at 6', however, it also lists Tony in Iron Man II armor at 6'4", which I flatly rejected on its face. This sort of size discrepancy, one never depicted in the books, is exactly IMO why artistic interpretation, especially that of iconic artists, is the literal rubric to which I usually default. After all, the artwork not only sets the stage, it is the principal modality through which we are introduced to all things comic book (no disrespect to writers, they are undoubtedly the storytellers, but this is a visual medium). Lets take a closer look at how two iconic artists (that I know you like and have mentioned often) depict Ultron: John Byrne and George Perez. I'll start with commissioned pieces similar to the first photo you used. The fact that these are 'commissioned' pieces is important because that means someone is paying for work not only highly representational of the heroes and eras therein, but emblematic of the ultimate expressions of said artist on said subject matter. As you might be able to see, in Byrne's eyes, Ultron is meant to be pretty corded/yoked and every bit as large as Thor. Notice the quads. The Shoulders. The thickness of the biceps. You can even see dude's lats from the damn front...he's deez'ed ('diesel' for those that didn't grow up in NYC circa 86'-95'). On a side note: Didn't you customize a Vision fig because you thought the mold to be too little? Looks like Byrne doesn't view ol' boy with the same lenses. ' Here's a black and white Perez commission of Ultron. The black and white presentation might actually make it easier to see differences in size/girth. Again, Ultron is easily the size of Thor and Tony is somewhat dwarfed even while wearing a bulkier more modern armor. Now something can always be said of intended perspectives within any illustration and Tony is slightly recessed into the background, but it's a no brainer that this Iron Man armor is not of a similar stature to that of Thor. Let's juxtapose the previous illustrations and my takeaways from the Perez commission to the following comic panels taking another look at that iconic battle with the Avengers that I posted yesterday. Pay specific attention to the legs, thickness of the arms, and Ultron's comparative form to those of both Thor and Wonder Man (bigger dudes than Iron Man): While they both have metal armors, Ulron and Iron Man have not and should not share the same proportions IMHO. All said though, your second photo made me feel a little better in that Ultron doesn't look to be 'shorter' than goober azz Tony. However, based on the Iron Man fig's feet being set oh so slightly farther apart, I'd guess Ultron's as tall as Iron Man, which is: Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 06-11-2021 at 04:47 PM.. |

Got my BOTBG Red Skull...my only complaint is he seems very loose and gummy out of the package. I prefer the non smiling face to the garish grin. Just need Lady Deathstrike now to complete the line up. Bring on the Iron Man wave!!

Awesome retort my friend. I have those very pics that you posted in my favorite Ultron pics file. I totally agree that Tony in armor is not 6'4, heck some books have him listed as being 6'6 in armor...Bolderdash I say! Byrne does tend to draw the Vision with a slim build but at 6'3, 300lbs, he should be buffer imo so I differ to the Perez, Buscema, Heck versions of him. Based on the pics of Ultron next to MOD IM, he represents the 6 ft-6'2 scale & I'm good to go with that. I always love to use these panels to demonstrate that Tony does not grow in hgt when armoring up due to the armor being skin tight. No way he gains 4-6 inches in hgt, at most 2 inches as the boot soles would be at least an inch thick & another inch of helmet padding as the helmet wouldn't be rubbing up against his scalp, imagine the rug burn from that! So 6'2 armored up in any & all armors minus the mission specific armors. My custom Vision.

It's low on the priority list, but I hope we get another regular Iceman... like the Retro version, but more blue-ish... and no belt. The Juggernaut wave Iceman would be good enough, except I would want an alternate round head... if they include an alternate round Iceman head of the same color with another character... that would be good enough for me.

They cast Titania for She-Hulk, so here's hoping we see a figure soon

I had that Ultron from the Iron Monger BAF wave cuz at the time, that was the closest representation of classic Ultron that had yet to come out in the ML line, be it TB or Hasbro, but it was repainted armor from their underwhelming CD figure & hence, both figs were kinda undersized & didn't scale well with the slightly larger Hasbro 6' scale. I sold it off yrs ago.

A few notes:
- Regarding Ultron's height/width/size, I have no problem with the current figure. Besides, I'm sure we'll see a new Ultron as buff and tall as Thor eventually. If I've learned anything from Hasbro, it's that they love to read what fans think should be changed or included for the next version of a character, so I could see the Hasbro team taking notes about Ultron and giving him a new mold for the next figure. And after getting an energy effect for Ultron, I still want a classic armor Doctor Doom with "Kirby crackle" energy effects for his hands/fists. - @TheBlueMarvel - I didn't even know Mystique had that look. That's actually pretty cool. I'd prefer the classic suit, but I have no problems with that as an alternative. Sandman, on the other hand, is one I want a classic re-do of because I couldn't find/collect his Build-A-Figure version from a few years back, hopefully with normal human form arms this time. I can see why people want a green armored Sandman look, but I've always disliked it. Also, why does he need to have his face covered when his secret identity is public knowledge? It's not as amusing as, say, Cesar Romero's Joker wearing a domino mask in "Batman: The Movie", but having Sandman's face covered never made sense to me. - @MeLikeJinx - I also would love a new Iceman, but I really hope it looks good. The previous Iceman figures by Hasbro have left me underwhelmed, especially the Juggernaut Build-A-Figure wave version. I'm still holding out hope for an "Amazing Friends" version of Iceman. Then again, I'd love a Marvel Legends figure of "Amazing Friends"/John Romita Sr. Silver Age suit Spider-Man with a "wavy-lines" spider-sense accessory and alternate open wall-crawling posed hands. - After seeing all the images here, I really want new figures of classic Scarlet Witch without the metallic paint and of Vision. A George Perez version of Beast, classic purple-and-blue Hawkeye with the mask's wings more pointed than the Retro figure's, and my often-repeated scaly chainmail uniform Captain America with a smiling head based on John Byrne's art round out my Top 5 Most Wanted Avengers figures. Classic U.S. Agent would be appreciated too, but if I remember correctly, I think Dwight or someone at the Hasbro team teased he could happen soon. And after seeing TheBlueMarvel's Mystique pages and Avengers pages, we still need new Marvel Legends figures of "Heroes Return" armor Iron Man with an alternate Anthony "Tony" Stark head and a '70s Cyclops re-release with an optic blast because those looks really are that awesome. |

What you say makes total sense about cowl wearing Sandman, but the costume is so rare that I'd love to see it made. As far as Mystique, I just think the purple spy-jumpsuit is a subdued, but sexy look, that's dangerous all at the same time, which I believe suits her perfectly. Although, technically, she doesn't need to really wear anything as her powers allow her to approximate even articles of clothing. |

That version of Colossus is high on my list too. Definitely one of my favorite outfits for him. It doesn’t seem all that likely, though. We probably have Outback, Acolytes, more 90s-ized re-release of the classic outfit, Juggernaut Colossus, and de-powered classic outfit all in line before it.

Definitely want an Outback Colossus!! I'm looking forward to completing that team! I started on a Rogue custom from that era so she is bound to be coming out soon! |

That's a win just getting to see Titania. I forget her name, but that lady is pretty tall. I liked watching her in The Good Place. And I hope Titania does get a nice figure soon. Either Titania. The one everyone knows and loves( assuming people know/love her) or the one murdered in cold blood by Scourge of the Underworld. The one that was a member of the Grapplers, the all female superhuman wrestling team which I also want Hasbro to create. Especially Screaming Mimi. She's on my top ten list every year.

Just recently got the new She-Hulk and I've got to believe that these larger female characters have to be in the works. This She-Hulk is simply phenomenal in size and musculature and would only require the superficial mods to create a streamlined base body for future powerhouse characters. |
