- Celestials don't need much paint apps or PoA. This lowers the price, twice. Hence a bigger figure than Galactus may be achieved, perhaps at the same price. - How many depends on the market. Without any MCU movie, the Sentinels + Galactus sold to a small collector market. A massive kiddo market, helped by Disney MCU, absolutely will help HasLab sell the Celestials in many future MCU films. - I also prefer affordable. Personally I like Premium Roleplay helmets for the Celestials. Maybe just 1 character helmet per year (2 to 4 every MCU film year). Yet if Dwight says HasLab Celestials are possible. Then more power to HasLab, for making more cool toys as awesome as Galactus... Last edited by Super Joe; 07-21-2021 at 06:48 AM.. |

My Target had Katy on clearance for $6 so I picked up two of her, one to be a background damsel in distress character in my display and the other for Toys for Tots this Dec. Sadly, they still wanted $13 for Shang-Chi.
I don't have an ex to drop the mansion on.

Actually that's very cool of you. I bet some kid will love Katy. Full sincerity.

So can I. If they do it, it's a smart play on both the star-power front and character side. Wonder Man has some depth/complexity to him, he tracks favorably with Avengers/comic fans, there's nuance to his powers (many don't know that Simon sees the world at a slightly slowed speed because he's faster than normal humans), and his powers have a cool signature effect (red eyes and full ionic flare) that will play well on screen. Additionally, Cavill has a satisfyingly similar countenance and he is the right height and size to play Simon.
Only if the clone comes out as genetically superior to the original. Especially in the MCU/real life with RDJ standing at a shrimpy 5'8" to Cavill's 6'1"ish. Edit: Speaking of the MCU, the silence has been deafening here on Black Widow, which smacks as odd given how chirpy this thread gets when a flick premieres. A friend of mine has suggested we see it and I'm inclined to view the movie. However, with the Covid Delta variant predictably exploding all over the country, it seems ill advised to break from form. Mama didn't raise no fool. Even vaccinated, I'll hold my space. I was blessed with finding a better fully remote position as my previous employer was beginning to phase in a return to the office..."homey don't play that." Well, not anymore, thank goodness. Black Widow was okay. Not the worst MCU movie, but everything it does, The Winter Soldier did better. Taskmaster is the MCU equivalent to Bane from Dark Knight Rises and Deadpool in Wolverine Origins. Easily the worst MCU villain to date. Harbour and Weiss are completely wasted as they do little to nothing and Harbour is relegated to just being there for comic relief. Every time something big is about to occur, he gets knocked out or something, usually in a funny manner. Johanssen was not given it her all in the acting department either. The stand out character was Yelena.
As for the Covid variant, I'm done being isolated. I'm just done. I got vaccinated. I have my multi-pass. I am over wearing masks and not going out. Yeah, I donate to Toys for Tots every year, so I always pick up figures I see on clearance from popular series like Marvel, Star Wars, etc. And if I don't have enough come the end of Nov, I take a trip to Five Below to see what they've got.

Everyone makes decisions based on what suits them best, their personal circumstances and any amassed information they've consumed. That said, CO, as charted by the CDC, has one of the highest proportional outbreaks of the Delta strain in the United States. While this mutation is predominantly striking the unvaccinated, the vaccine is no bullet proof vest vs infection and continued masking is prudent.
I've no kink related to wearing masks and would prefer not to need them, but given the reality of the virus' asymptomatic spread, I will do my part and continue to wear them to protect myself and others. |

Now that Kain mentioned it, the film almost is just The Black Winter Widow Soldier. On its own merits it was entertaining enough, if just mostly rehash. Going to the movies is something my kids and I had made a regular thing before lockdown, so it was worth the viewing just to enjoy that experience again. Kain is also spot on that Yelena is easily the best character.
As for Legends, my Dormammu arrived from Pulse today (yep, they're shipping them separately even though I ordered all at once ). I don't think mine would make a good dance partner. By that I mean, he literally has two left feet. It's actually kinda funny, but I'm still gonna contact customer support about getting a replacement. Edit: By "shipping them separately" I meant the Villain wave Last edited by tierneygreen; 07-21-2021 at 09:49 AM.. |

We decided to just do Premier Access for Black Widow on Disney+. Looking at the cost for us to go, usual movie crowd annoyances, being able to pause, watch for 3 months, etc. It was a better idea than going to a theater, especially here in Florida.
As for the movie, I don't want to spoil it for anyone. It was fun and I'm excited to see where it leads after that credits scene. Cool to think about who was dusted, etc. My Ursa Major wave came last week and actually shipped all at once from Hasbro Pulse and even in the same box. It was an enormous box and a waste of materials to be sure lol. |

The annual battle for the mantle of the Black Panther has commenced. Khnuba of the Djibouti tribe has challenged for the right to be the Black Panther. Known as the "Titan", Khnuba stands 6'5 & is 300lbs of solid muscle. T'Challa will have his hands full in trying to retain the title.

No worries, but I'll be honest and admit I'm not really understanding your lamentations about the exorbitant cost of Hasbro's Sentinel and Galactus when you are making custom purchases that exceed what they are asking for either project. I feel you on Hasbro delivering Haslab concepts that are more affordable to the 'majority of us.' However, it seems like both the Sentinel and Galactus are in fact affordable for you and it's more of a situation where you don't think they are worth the expense, which is a different story entirely. Even the Combatants: Khnuba figure you photographed is a $60 fig, which is generally far more than most would pay for a 1/12 scale single toy. I'm not bashing you, by the way. I pay $50, $100, and, far more often than I care to admit, $300-$400 dollars for rare figs I really want and I often call for Hasbro to deliver more for my $25 purchases. My point is that your complaints suggest that you are being priced out, but the reality appears to be different than that. The extended point is that Haslab projects are earmarked for the delivery of ambitious costly items that otherwise would not be available or possible.

Hmmmmm, so rumor/leaked lists have it that the Marvel Legends Sylvie figure is going to be released in the 2nd Wave of Disney+ figures and going off of Hasbro's comment last week that we'll see Sylvie "Available for pre-order later in July 2021", I feel like we may be seeing that new Disney+ revealed next week.

I thought Black Widow was excellent. Not really seeing how its a rehash of Winter Soldier except in a very superficial sense. CW:WS was about the dangers of unfettered police/surveillance states and how easily they can be subverted to prioritise order for freedom. Black Widow is about some of the people exploited and broken by that system trying to stop anyone else being exploited and get a second chance. Related? Clearly. Rehash? No.
That's just my opinion though

I'm not really familiar with Black Panther's supporting cast, is there someone else she might be?

I feel it's most likely the beginning of new introductions like Ororo but I wonder if she'll play someone like Monica Lynne. Though that seems doubtful since her history is so tied to T'Challa. Maybe it's even Malice since the MCU Nakia doesn't seem likely to take the plunge Priests Nakia did. Or maybe it's Ce'Athauna Asira Davin, aka Queen Divine Justice. A lot of possibilities that I'm excited for. Last edited by Nutimus Prime; 07-21-2021 at 11:33 PM.. |

I hope Coel is Storm, she's gorgeous. I also hope they do away with the blue eyes and straight hair.

They need to keep Alexendra Shipp as Storm in the MCU since Fox did absolutely nothing with her in their two X-Men movies. She got totally gypped from playing the character and the girl shaved her head to play her in Apocalypse.

I just came in to post this. Pretty obvious who those silhouettes are. Did Dwight tease that one unlock would be an army builder because a lot of people have a Silver Surfer already and this "bonus" adds a second to your collection? Maybe it will at least be chrome or something different than the Walgreens version.
