I saw the Caps, but only once each (well, at least the annivesary Cap and the hammer Cap). I had to go to another state to get Thanos. BW finally showed up like 5 months after everyone else got her and someone else had picked one up for me.
Why does Hasbro insist on making classic versions of characters exclusives? Save the exclusives for variants. |

That's pretty on par with the rumored hike though right? Or may be a couple of dollars more due to "exclusive". Classic Strange is one of my big wants in the redo/alt outfit category, so I'll get him, but yeah, like I mentioned previously, at these prices more people are going to be more choosy, myself included. I'm content with my current top 60 wants (24 redos/alternate outfits and 36 brand new characters never done in anyway), what's already been revealed and anything AOA, which all said is still probably about 100 figures, but I could begrudgingly pare that list down some more if need be.

I love the classic Dr. Strange reveal! The figure looks good. Really digging the alt-heads and all of the accessories. Overall he is exactly what I would hope for.
Hopefully with this being a part of Wal-mart's collector con, he will be easy to obtain. I like the idea of not having to search stores but just needing to make an online order. However I have no idea how collector con goes for Wal-mart, such as are there purchase limits, like 2 per customer type thing? Do exclusives sell out quick? Either my husband or I should be available to try to order right away but I don't nessecarily like having to schedule ourselves just to make a purchase. I also find the 27 dollar price to be steep, but I'm already super choosey about what I get and try to buy loose from Dorkside as much as possible to save a couple bucks, so I am ready to splurge on a figure I really really want. |

I can't even comprehend Hasbro's logic in making the classic Dr. Strange a Walmart exclusive. If Walmart wanted a Legends exclusive, why not present them with a First Appearance Dr. Strange with the blue cape? Or some other visual variant or a Dr. Strange deluxe set with more accessories. Just something that didn't take away a standard release of the classic Dr. Strange.

On its own merits I'm really excited by this Dr Strange but being Walmart exclusive with a price hike is just uggggggggggggggggghhh. Really hoping he turns out to be easy to find but Walmart exclusives are such a crapshoot. I had no problem seeing lots of Black Widow last year to the point they had to clearance it out but every single Captain America exclusive (80th, Endgame, and Venom) were complete no-shows except for one Endgmae Cap I found in the bicycle section.

I hope Doctor Strange is as easy to order as Compound Hulk which is still available to order from Walmart.
I wish that the Retro Spider Armor was based on the comic look and not the videogame. My Toybiz 5" Spider Armor was a fun toy when I was growing up. Plus it came with a shield. Retro Loki and Falcon go up for sale at 10 AM PST tomorrow.

They probably figured this was the best way to release it when the inevitable Doctor Strange wave we get next year is almost certainly gonna be another movie-heavy one like Shang-Chi or Spider-Man: No Way Home. I guess a Retro release was another avenue they could've done this in, but they did this in the past with Black Panther; movie figures took priority in the standard wave, but then Walmart and Target got the comic BP figures.

As anecdotal as it might be, I was able to find 80th Cap, Thor, and Iron Man with relative ease. I purchased all three from Walmart.com, then later found a plethora of Caps and Thors (in-store) picking up extras of each at retail. The Iron Man fig was the only one that didn't appear as readily, but that might be because I wasn't searching the pegs as routinely for the character. For a couple of different reasons, I don't anticipate having a problem finding Strange in the NY tristate.

I never actually found the Cap in my area (lower NY). My friend in Albany found one for me. However, Thor and Iron Man were everywhere. But I don't recall if they were exclusive to any stores. I feel like I got them both in Target. I hope Dr. Strange is easy to find. Much like everyone else has pointed out, that's a pretty big price hike. I hope it's only for this figure. I'm assuming they'll call it a deluxe release or something to justify the price. If legends start coming out at $27 each, I'm out.

Where the heck are NOVA and QUASAR?? I'm checking my local Walgreens Stores EVERYDAY! There are no legends left at any but 1 and it's yellow DAREDEVIL. This is getting ridiculous!!

@Dr Kain - Web-Man is a Spider-Man doppelganger made by Doctor Doom in the "Spidey Super Stories" comic book series.
After reading that Scarlet Witch and Vision were mentioned in the descriptions for the Falcon and Loki figures, I'm curious which costumes both figures will get. Also, if the Retro wave is Scarlet Witch, Vision, the two Lokis and Falcon, I wonder if the sixth figure will be the rumored U.S. Agent. Maybe this wave is next year's Avengers themed Marvel Legends wave? What do you guys think? |

"Like" is too strong of a word. Just as with gray Beast, it's odd enough to merit my interest. I also dig the inversion of the costume color scheme.
But the cheapness of the release, of course, isn't lost on me. Nor am I happy with the sheer number of re-releases being pawned off as "reveals" that we've seen as of late: symbiote Spidey, Hobgoblin, etc. While I won't necessarily begrudge another Falcon being added, I didn't really need Hasbro to make another simply because Toy Biz made two; that's not a decision I endorse and I believe they could have made a better choice. I complained years ago about abusive re-use/re-issue, but now Hasbro has convinced a significant portion of the collecting crowd that this is either a natural consequence of manufacturing toys ("bucks be expensive, yo!"), or this is a blessing to be coveted as a workaround to circumvent the perils of the secondary market (grrrrr, scalpers....save me, Hasbro!).
