then again I've considered just not doing the theater thing anymore. Fittingly, my first movie in the theatres was Star Wars (though I was one of those wailing 1 year olds and don't remember seeing it, that's what my parents told me my first movie was). Maybe Rise of Skywalker was my last. As much as I want to see some of the movies coming out, I don't have this "need to see ASAP" drive for any of them. |

My Dark Phoenix is badly stressed on the neck as well. I've been forced to dremel out the alternate heads for headswaps so they can be replaced without applying any sort of friction or force. With that clean of a break, You should be able to do a fix using a properly sized screw for a post along with some sticky tack. |

God I hope that never happens to my Dark Phoenix.
Jesus, it would be nice if Hasbro could give me some sort of update on my Sentinels. I kind of need them so I can sell off Bastion and the female version while they're still worth something. Lastly, an updated shot of my Omnibus collection:

@DarthKamen: Damn, that Phoenix neck peg tear is pretty brutal. I buy, at least, two of figures/characters that I really dig for exactly that reason. I do remember that head being pretty tight and, ironically, my HFC Jean also had a similar snugness that had me simply by a loose one on eBay for the spare Black Queen/Selene.

Yeah I totally get where you're coming from, I'm much the same. I figured at earliest I'd get out and see Dr. Strange, but probably not even that, but was really hoping for to be able to see Thor in the theaters at least. This gives it another 9 months to see how things go with Covid rates.
then again I've considered just not doing the theater thing anymore. As far as Star Wars is concerned, I was only a handful of years older than you and also don't remember seeing it in the theaters, but know it happened from my pops telling me. While I wasn't a baby, I was on the tail end cusp of being a toddler. So I suppose future me would have been harumphing at my dad and I...and he would have promptly let me know the taste was about to be slapped out of my mouth! Oddly, I think Rise of Skywalker may have been my last theater visit as well and I'm fairly sure Star Wars was also my first cinematic experience. |

I forgot to mention that I received an 'arriving soon - we're about to charge your card' email update for the Spidey retro wave from BBTS yesterday. For those interested...

I just got my shipping notice from Dorkside for my loose Legion and AoA Shadowcat. I am soo stoked for new product!
I also got to actually go toy hunting to the various Targets in my area. It was the first time in over a year for me partially because I have just been pre-ordering most things I want. I held off on pre-ordering any of the Eternals wave and lucky for me that is the only wave any of my local Targets currently have stocked. I grabbed a Sersi for now and really dig her. I want a Thena too but alas didn't find her anywhere. I will probably hold off on getting anyone else yet till I see the movie and can decide who else I really enjoy. |

Surprised to find that the Marvel Unlimited Plus kit with HOX/POX Kitty arrived today. As a simple re-paint/re-use, I think this figure is nice and fits nicely within the fold of Marvel Unlimited exclusives. Much better than the most recent Purple Deadpool & Spider-Kamala releases.

Do you ever read something and *know* it’s going to cost you?
https://marvelousnews.com/252-29547 To mix my metaphors, Spider-Man is my Kryptonite. I fear what they will announce, because I know I’ll be all over it (except movie figures). Jay C. says thirteen figures/ sets. What would people be hoping for? Couple of my wants: - Daily Bugle boxset (probably SDCC or HasLab, include characters like Robbie & Betty). - Stegron BAF. - Enforcers boxset. - Aunt May (really just all of Peter’s supporting cast… hell, I’d be over the moon for a Deb Whitman). - Rocket Racer. - Classic Lizard & Rhino deluxe figures. - Doc Ock & Kraven to finish the recent Sinister Six. |

13 figures/sets of Marvel Legends 60th anniversary figures for Spider-Man?!? YES, PLEASE!!! I just hope we'll see Ant-Man, Hulk and Thor get some 60th anniversary figures too. There are plenty of heroes, villains, alternate looks and civilian characters for Ant-Man, Hulk and Thor to get their own waves.
At this point, all I really want for the 60th anniversary Spider-Man figures/sets are: - First appearance Spider-Man and the Burglar two-pack - Classic Aunt May Parker - Doctor Octopus, either in his "Death of Captain Stacy" costume/glasses or his white Armani suit look. Bendable wire tentacles would be welcome, but since Ryan said in a recent interview they're expensive, I doubt we'll see them in the near future. - Classic Lizard - Classic Rhino - First appearance Mary Jane Watson with a smiling head sculpt based on John Romita Sr.'s art - Classic Spider-Man with the Romita Sr./"Amazing Friends" chest spider emblem, an alternate Peter Parker head and alternate open wall-crawling hands - Classic Venom with various heads (fanged mouth, open mouth with tongue, and alternate civilian Eddie Brock head) I hope that any Alfred Molina figures of Doc Ock don't take the place of a new comic-based Doc Ock figure in the near future, as I'd love a new comic-based Doctor Octopus figure to display. If not for 2022, maybe they'll make a comic book version figure of Doctor Octopus in 2023 for his own 60th anniversary year? Hasbro loves anniversaries. I'd also love a new classic Vulture re-release with improved wings and more details on his suit and a classic Carnage re-release with a Cletus Kasady civilian head, since I missed the previous Vulture and Carnage figures. Anyone else for the 60th anniversary Spider-Man figures/sets would be icing on the cake. The Enforcers, Man-Mountain Marko, Tarantula, Swarm, the Rose, Carrion, Nightwatch, '90s suit-and-jacket Firestar, classic Jack O'Lantern, classic Kaine, classic Stunner, Octo-Spidey, a boxed set of the Slingers, the Amazing Bag Man, Fusion (from Paul Jenkins' "Peter Parker" run), classic Lady Octopus, classic Delilah, more supporting civilian characters (Flash Thompson, Betty Brant, Harry Osborn, Joe "Robbie" Robertson, Glory Grant, etc.) -- the list goes on and on. Except for Typeface. Even I have my limits. |

I'm really happy for the big time Spider-Man fans. That sounds like a lot of really great things that could be coming your way! And as Marvel's flagship character, it's deserved.
I'm also really happy that since I'm trying to cut back, Spider-Man is not my main focus of collecting. That said, I would end up buying a wave just to get a BAF Stegron. I could be interested in Calypso, Mr. Negative, Spot and Spider-Man India....maybe Aunt May. And that's really about it. Edit - adding in Squid because I forgot about him or barely have heard of him before. But there's no way I would pass up getting a figure like that. Ooo... that article at Marvelousnews was interesting... so I guess Toad is a lock then. Glad I picked up Pyro recently. I bet classic IM will be AI IM colors, but with proper reactor colors and a new Tony Stark head. I wonder what 20th Hulk will be like... 80th Hulk was already perfect IMO. So weird next year is the 20th year for Legends, 30th year for X-men Animated Series and 60th for Spidey.

Yeah, I'm enjoying my 'generic space folk' more than I thought I would.
Psycho Man is also pretty enjoyable and unique. EDIT: I was wrong about the BBTS Retro Spidey wave arrival notice. It was actually for Spidey 2099.... Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 10-21-2021 at 06:50 PM.. |

A John Romita Sr. Spider-Man is a must, but due to the upcoming Retro animated Hobgoblin, I don't expect a Romita Jr. version of the character any time soon. It's a shame though, as I'd love to see Hasbro top the old Toy Biz figure made of him. Alternate heads like a shadowy Hobgoblin head with red eyes and civilian heads like Roderick Kingsley and Ned Leeds would be cool too. The Enforcers would be a great boxed set and I hope we get more lesser-known classic Spider-Man villain figures in the future. As I've said before, I'd also love a classic Mysterio re-do with a better helmet and cape with alternate heads of Quentin Beck and Daniel Berkhart. And a new classic Green Goblin re-do with alternate heads of Harry Osborn and Bart Hamilton would be cool too. I can't wait to see what Hasbro has planned for Spider-Man's 60th anniversary next year. |

No, not the wave. But, yes, Psycho Man in isolation.
I mentioned a few days ago that Psycho Man had been added as an "in stock" item on BBTS. A continuance of the recent trend of spot characters from waves projected for future release showing up early (think AoA Colossus wave). While I have the FF wave preordered through three different online retailers, I ordered the singular Psycho Man, out of curiosity (just to see if it would be delivered - it has been) and because I dig the design and character enough to own two for breakage or "jus' because" purposes. He joins the Thing from that wave as an early arrival and is a pretty cool sculpt that stands shorter than the average Legend, while still retaining a presence. A great unique sculpt (all around), with sharp paint apps and successful implementation of green marbleized colored plastic ('member when people used to complain about that plastic technique? - I'm glad Hasbro ignored those lamentations). As someone that doesn't hesitate to offer criticism of the things that Hasbro does that grate on me, I must also point out how very happy I've been with the attention they've lavished on villains as of late. In anticipation of a loose Armadillo BAF along with the plasticy goodness of numerous baddies recently offered (Kang, Ulton, Deathstrike, MODOK, even Hyde - bowler notwithstanding), I've been very pleased with the final product (on balance) of many figs. Here's to High Evolutionary continuing the trend. Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 10-22-2021 at 08:01 AM.. |

When it works it looks GREAT. IMO darker colors produce better results. I thought it successful on the Wal Mart BAF Thanos reissue. It's mesmerizing on the new Stealth Iron Man. Inaccuracies aside, I love that figure.
