So I finally bit the bullet and bought that new Cap. Best one we had, don’t get wrong. I just think if Hasbro made a few alterations, their figures would look way more aesthically pleasing. AnthonysCustoms nailed it:
The mock up looks straight out of the comics. A more V-shaped tapered physique, smaller head, and more defined thighs. And yes, the Toybiz fig didn’t age well, but it was still a lot closer to the mock up design than I thought and even had butterfly joints and better paint applications/wash. Bottom line, the Legends team is so close. Inching closer to a perfect Cap figure much like they did with Spider-Man. Obviously they’d have to do a complete 180 on their cookie cutter designs so I won’t hold my breath. |

The smaller head works on that mock-up, but everything else looks worse. Hasbro’s bodies aren’t perfect. Hell, it’s like night and day when you put the Legends Cyclops next to the Mafex one, for instance. But that mock-up looks deeply weird.

If Anthony's Customs said it it's definitely false. That dude bitches about every little nitpick and this is coming from me.

Anthony's Customs is the broken clock, right twice a day.
This is not one of those times. |

There's lots of Thor: L&T merch hitting the stores now. I haven't bought anything yet, but the Legends that I've seen are sweet-looking figs.

Today is a good day. Controller wave has arrived in the UK. From the Bonebreaker only Siryn.
Everything looks good and crisp. No two left feet or crossed eyes, thou Viper looks very surprised. |

His face doesn't seem to be elongated enough. I always thought he looked like a thin Bruce Campbell.

Well, I was definitely on the fence when it came out that they were finally doing him, but they seem to have eased up on the cel shading a bit. I'm relieved to say I'm in.

I don't keep up with all the exclusives, especially Walgreens. Someone posted a link on the last page, and I noticed a Binary exclusive. Is that still available in stores?

If ya lucky. Many walgreens have seemingly quit carrying marvel legends and most good toys in general.

I got my “Shipping soon” email from BBTS on retro Rhino.
I thought I would have my Jigsaws from Walgreens yesterday, but FedEx decided to let them tour the Midwest before shipping them straight to me. |

The MOST important thing about this photo isn't the minimalist cel-shading, although it's much appreciated. It isn't the fact that it's THE Morph that many fans have clamored for either - the only Morph that rates is Exiles Morph. It isn't even the fact that they final fixed the sliding straps on the thighs and shins by making them part of the sculpt (oh, happy day! I mean, seriously, what took so long?). The most important thing about this picture, and this coming from someone who couldn't give two shits given my zero investment in the character, is that we can assume from the mold that Banshee is likely done and we're seeing his legs and torso with this preview.

For the record, I have NEVER been a fan of Morph from "X-Men: The Animated Series". I found him to be obnoxious in the pilot episode, his laugh always annoyed me, and his back-and-forth good guy/bad guy storyline was okay at best. That said, this is a GREAT figure of Morph and I'm truly happy for those who have been waiting years for this figure to get made. By looking at Morph's legs and the fixed/sculpted straps, I'm curious if these will be reused later for the inevitable Cyclops figure. I would love to see a new Jim Lee Cyclops with no, or at least minimal, cel shading and an optic blast accessory included, since I never could find the previous figures for him.
Of course, now that I look at the figure's cloth jacket and jacket sleeve arms, I'm curious if Hasbro will give him alternate normal/X-uniform arms and alternate heads of other characters. Last edited by StuartGreen2019; 05-23-2022 at 02:00 PM.. |

It's true, Bbts is shipping Rhinos. And not those of the sane and non-partisan variety.

I would hope so but seeing as how there appears to be no blue paint on the upper torso it more than likely may not.

I did notice the other day that Big Bad Toy Store had Quasar up for pre-order. It was a Walgreens exclusives. Binary might end up at other retailers down the road. Some of the Walmart exclusives have done that in the past, land at other retailers after a year or so.

I wonder alludes to another early Pulse fulfillment- if I'm not mistaken (and with all of the outstanding POs I have, I very well could be), it's already moved from a November to a September estimate. Part of me hopes that's the case, Rhino is pretty high on my wants list, but on the other hand, I'm down for two at nearly $80. That's not going to mean I'll have to eat ramen or anything, but it's enough that I'd like to be able to plan for it.
