Pre-orders tomorrow. You basically just answered your own question there. Those other characters have been made over him because they're all significantly more popular. There are probably hundreds of characters in Tarantula's general sphere of popularity, so I doubt it's personal.

New arms and heads; that Netflix Cage body is getting some significant millage. First Hydro-Man, now Sandman, I guess a new head and vest could serve as an Ox in future Spidey lines.
I'd appreciate if they could run through these revisits with more rapidity, so that we can get beyond the staples. It's the same as watching the origin of Spider Man over and over again in film; the horse doesn't get any deader in subsequent beatings. On that note: I watched Andrew Garfield's Amazing Spider Man over the weekend for the first time. I know a couple of people have said as much here, but he did a pretty damn good job as Peter. I was pleasantly surprised. Now to retool the new She Hulk body into the muscular female heroes and villains. |

Seems like the Rhino may also be in the cards...or else Dan is just a master troll.

They wouldn't even need new feet...they could probably get by just scaling up the feet from the Wolvie-Laura with a new claw/spike attachment. |

I think the biggest issue with both films was Sony's lack of the concept of pacing. They just kinda jump straight to comic events with little regard to the journey to get there. I wouldn't mind them doing Legends of the Raimi Trilogy and Amazing duo. Though I'd probably want a Tank Rhino BAF and not care about Amazing Goblin at all. |

Could be possible that the heads from the BAF might work on this figure...though I doubt Hasbro will have the foresight to do that.

Picked up Zemo today. I saw every figure in this wave except for Wanda, really hoping my later-placed Dorkside pre-order goes through okay. Zemo is definitely neat though. I always liked this depiction of the character but obviously he never had a cool toyetic design in Civil War so I'm glad they gave him one for the show. The Daniel BrĂĽhl head is a very good likeness, particularly when seen from either side, but the expression seems a tad off for the character (may be why it looks better from the sides). The masked head is definitely cool and except for the missing crown-type piece this approximates Thunderbolts Zemo so I could see myself fudging it into a comic group display. The assorted hands are all useful and nice, the soviet-HYDRA book is a good repurpose of Gwen's schoolbook, and then there's the weird golden gun. Zemo did have a golden gun in the trunk of his car where he had his mask in the show but he never used it, at least this fictional gun (the same type that movie Deadpool had) looks possibly built around a regular sidearm and isn't totally sci-fi goofy like Sharon Carter's from the Red Onslaught wave. Personally I like Zemo to have a sword though so I went looking through my non-displayed stuff and found a Wonder Woman movie figure sword that I think works pretty well for Zemo, at least for now.

I can't properly put into words how much I love this Retro Sandman figure. As someone who grew up with and loving (and still loving) the '90s "Spider-Man" animated series and being disappointed (and remain disappointed) that the Sandman wasn't on the show, finally seeing him on the Toy Biz box art is a dream come true. I'm hoping that this means Hydro-Man will get a future figure with normal arms and legs as well. Sandman has been in my Top 5 Marvel Legends wants for the past few years, so this is a truly amazing reveal.
If the rumored Sandman/Rhino double reveal turns out to be true, I'll likely order two of both. I'm hoping for a classic Romita Sr.-esque Rhino, but I wouldn't rule out an '80s armored Rhino from his Sinister Syndicate era either. Now I just need Retro classic versions of Doctor Octopus with bendable wire tentacles, the Lizard and the Shocker. At the rate Hasbro keeps releasing these great Retro Spider-Man figures, I'm sure those will be available sooner rather than later. |

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I don't LOVE that Sandman. I really like the old BAF, but I'm a sucker for Spidey bad guys so I might pick this up, just to have some options. I don't dislike it, but I like the BAF better.

Exactly. Their romance was one of the rare on-screen relationships to actually evoke any reaction from me. Similar to Jon Snow and Ygritte. However, I suppose that's because it was a real-life chemistry as Shin0 pointed out (had no idea, but it obviously worked)... Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 06-18-2021 at 06:57 AM.. |

Sandman looks great and is what I wish the first version had been, but whatever. I'll definitely preorder him, I'm just not sure where right now since Pulse will make me pay $10 for shipping, Amazon will probably cancel it, I guess BBTS even though they'll most likely mark it up.
EDIT: Wasn't there supposed to be a second figure going up for preorder today? That's what Marvelous News said yesterday.

new Marvel Legends Sandman is beautiful. much better l0oking than the old Marvel Universe/Ininite Series Sandman.
Even looks better than the decades older Sandman build a figure. Me personally Im just not fond of the pre sculpted giant sand hand weapons that were permamently on the old Marvel Universe/Infite Series Sandman. even the older Marvel Legends Sandman build a figure from a years back it was horrible looking |

He's talking about the Spiderman 3 Thomas Haden-Church Build-a-pieceofcrap-figure from 2007.

Nice, hopefully it won't be long before they get to fulfilling pre-orders on the singles. I only secured Ultron since the only other big want in the wave for me is Modular Iron Man and given his double-packed status I doubt I'll have trouble finding one, heck yesterday when I found Zemo the same Target had at least 10 of the AI Iron Man (and like 5 or 6 each of Shang Chi and Katy).
